  1. Sometimes there's nothing more you need to say!!!
  2. Wow, ITT was awfully quiet over night. Hopefully that means everyone was sleeping and no vivid/weird dreams!!
  3. Good Morning!!!! COFFEE!!!!☕ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸ Sunday!!💒ðŸ‘
  4. Me, too. I just drank a big old glass of ice water. And I'm still thirsty. Mr. Spock wears eye shadow. DH is watching Star Trek. I just noticed that.
  5. I learned all the Presidents last year. When DS had to learn them for 8th grade History. I learn everything he learns. 😎
  6. Happy Birthday, Critter. I'm glad you were born, too!! You're an awesome person!!
  7. Warning: Educational post ahead! Reported! OK, so, this is why we should teach math to children. Last night we are at the Afsa and I am waiting to have fabric cut for the sashing on the quilt I am making. FInally the girl comes. "I want 4 yards", I say. So, she starts measuring the bolt and there is a remnant there that is 1 1/3 yard. She looks at me and asks, "Do you need this all in one piece?" "No," I reply, "I am cutting it up to make a quilt." OK, at that point the girl has several options. 1) put the remnant aside, cut me 4 whole yards and put the remnant back on the bolt; 2) since I don't need it all in one piece, count that piece as a yard, then cut me 3 more yards, throw the extra 1/3 in free; or 3) do it exact and cut me another piece that is 2 2/3 yards and that would be it. Well, she puts the remnant aside and proceeds to cut me 4 whole yards. Fine. She makes my tag and then she's fiddling with that remnant because she really doesn't know what to do with it. And so she folds it up, sticks it in my folded up piece of fabric and says, "It's less complicated this way...." and I'm thinking, "Seriously? Less complicated? You just gave me a little over a yard free (it was pretty cheap fabric anyway) because you don't know what to do with a remnant!" Sigh!!!
  8. Yeah, I saw that and refused to participate. COFFEE is not a drug on the same level with all that other stuff. Thbbbbbbt!!!
  9. I don't pay a whole lot of attention to all the "things that could kill us" to be honest, but one thought I did have and I need to ask those who perhaps have studied this more..... what are all these things supposed to do to us?? Specifically? Cause an early death?? Dementia?? Cancer?? What?? If we stay away from all that, we're supposed to .... what?? Live till we're 100 years old?? I guess the reason I ask is this..,,my dad had 2 stints in a nursing home this year for rehab. And I can tell you, if an person is eating healthy and staying away from all that stuff just so they can live long and then wind up in there....no way!! And it was a very nice nursing home, caring staff, etc. But aging is a fact of life and dementia and all that can have organic, or genetic causes. My dad's circulatory system is like a cement wall, and the doctor says it has nothing to do with his lifestyle, which has always been fairly clean and healthy. I guess what I'm saying is, I can see the need to keep your weight under control, non-smoking, moderate alcohol consumption, exercise, that sort of thing, to me the results of those actions are very obvious and tangible and measurable. But I'm just not sure about all the other stuff.....
  10. When we were filing ur private school affadavit the first year we used our last name, but then I read something on HSLDA that said you shouldn't because then it "looked" like a homeschool and you may possibly become subject to scrutiny sometime if someone is looking to ... you know.... whatever people like to do who want to make trouble for homeschoolers. At this point in time I'm not worried about scrutiny, but times can change quickly and as a homeschooler I prefer to fly under the radar as much as possible. Our name is Liberty Christian School.
  11. That always happens to me when I wake up in the early morning hours and then fall back to sleep. I think it's a thing.
  12. Good Morning!!!!! COFFEE!!!!☕ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸ Saturday!!!ðŸ‘😄
  13. Back from the Afsa. I thought Friday night was supposed to be a quiet night there. What a madhouse!! Now we're just waiting for the boys to come home from my parents' house. My mom said she'd bring them home.ðŸ‘
  14. I like Pluto. I don't care what they say, it's a planet.
  15. Now that sounds like a wonderful day. I especially like the ferry and the lake part, and the bobcat and the bear. But not the headache part.

  17. So, tonight is the premier of Descendents 2 and the kids are going to my parents' house to watch it. DH and me?? Woohoo!! Big date night at the Afsa. Can't wait. Actually it will be nice to go to the Afsa sans children. Maybe we'll get icecream after.

  20. Broccoli is like that. I'm eating it right now. It's one of those Adkins frozen meals thingies. Broccoli and chicken Alfredo. It's edible. If you sprinkle enough extra Parmesan cheese on top.
  21. Of course it is. It's not even a year old. And they're Milk Duds.
  22. well, yeah!!! Why do it the easy way when you can make it extraordinarly complicated?
