Prima Latina by Memoria Press. It does come with a workbook, but the exercises are quite short. Focus on basic vocabulary and Latin Prayers.

I think going over expectations with each other is good. There are so many variables.... what time do you start your day?? Early riser or sleeping in. Where do we eat?? Fast food or sit down restaurant? What's the budget like?? Is there $$ for extra side-trips, museums, etc. or not?? I've traveled with various people over the years and some types of trips are well suited for doing it with friends and some types are not. A friend of mine and I took a trip to Boston and Cape Cod for a week once, and while we did have a good time, it was dicey at times, especially when people have different expectations.

I deserve another award. The Good Mom Award. I made lunch for 3 bonus kids today, cheerfully. I rewarded myself by frying up some crumbled bacon for my salad.

Disneyland is horribly expensive, but it is an amazing place. It really is. We went 6 1/2 years ago, which was the first time with kids and it was crazy busy, but it is different than any place I've ever been. It is so clean. I remember looking for litter and there is none. There's employees everywhere with their little broom and dust pan thingies. The bathrooms are spotless. The flower beds and gardens.... I never saw one weed. And it got to the point where I started looking for weeds and litter because I was so amazed at how clean it all is. And it really is like being in another world.

I need to, too. Actually I need to do lots of things. Lots and lots of things. Some of them expensive things ..... like buying DS's iPad for school 😡😡😡 (the school he's going to is a good school, but they require iPads and do most of their work in iPads and we are not happy about that at all) and pre-purchasing Disney tickets 😱😱. Disneyland is so expensive. That's probably why we go once every 6 years or so. I hate spending $$.

At least we have a dry heat,mwhich makes it somewhat bearable. And it also helps with evening temps. It's usually a 30 degree difference between afternoon high and morning lows.

We're going to be crawling :( through R&S because she struggles with grammar. We will be doing every extra-practice worksheet, and taking a couple days to do each lesson. Sigh! But this is why we homeschool!!!!!

I deserve an award. I picked up the basket that I keep my Latin books in and there was a huge cockroach under it. 😱😱😵 but I didn't scream, I ran to the kitchen and got a huge wad of paper towels and picked up the cockroach with the wad of paper towels and squished it really good and threw it in the trash. Yay me!! I deserve an award.

That's pretty much like mine. It's an internal heat. Not necessarily an external one, if that makes sense. Doesn't last longer than 15-30 seconds. Usually in the middle of the night. Just long enough to throw the covers off and then I get cold and pull them back up again.
