I don't think I've made these before. Do you dip them in anything? Or just salt them or what?

Well, we aren't Jewish, but we are studying the Holy Land this year, and as part of our studies we will be celebrating some of the feasts, and at least making some of the different traditional foods.
We are reading the All of a Kind Family books (characters are Jewish and there are great descriptions of the feast days) and I bought a copy of the Jews for Jesus cookbook.
Have fun!

Praying for a miracle for Christy.
Prayer in Time of Sickness (Orthodox Prayer Book)
Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, you became man and died on the cross for our salvation.
You healed people of sickness and affliction through your love and compassion.
Visit me, Lord, and grant me strength to bear this sickness with which I am afflicted, with patience, submission to your will and trust in your loving care.
I pray that you will bless the means used for my recovery and those who administer them.
Grant that my sickness may be to my spiritual benefit and that I may live the rest of my life more faithfully according to your will.
For you are the source of life and healing and to you I give praise and glory, now and forever. Amen.

Oh, speak it! Palin/Jindal! Oh my goodness. My heart is all aflutter!
That would be awesome. :w00t:

Palin (sorry, I spelled her name wrong)
Fox is reporting that is has been confirmed by McCain official.
McCain Palin '08 :)
I'm getting my bumper sticker and yard sign!!
I'm so thrilled! Flabbergasted, since I had no idea she was in the running for the position, but thrilled! I've been a fan of hers for quite a while, and I think it's just what the GOP ticket needs. Go McCain/Palin!!

Vermont Country Store carries the Lanz of Salzburg nightgowns. They are very cute. I bought them a few years ago for my girls.

This is good to hear, Jean. Post an update when you can. I have fibromyalgia too, so I'm interested to hear what helps you.

Mmmm....coffee....yum. I acquired the taste in college. I love it with a little milk or cream, no sugar, and definitely no flavoring.
I love iced coffee too, and sugar and flavoring is yummy in that.

Ugh. I feel like someone just punched me in the stomach. I am so sorry for the family. Praying for God to comfort them as much as it is possible for Him to do so. :angelsad2:

For my 8 yo (3rd grader) - about 3 hours a day.
For the older kids (11 & 12) about 5 to 6 hours.
For the 5 yo - about 30-45 min, sometimes she listens in on some of the other kids' reading.

Bless you, Jo! I'm keeping you in my prayers.

Congratulations!! Glad to hear all is well.

I loved Nadia! Wasn't she incredible? And remember "Nadia's Theme"?

Okay, we looked into PA colleges, thank you all. Now we are going to spread options to No. Cal.
So far, Mills is on list and that is it, we want something with less than 2000 pop. and dd is Journalism/ Hist. major, not decided yet.
We are hoping for something cheaper than Mills.
Any ideas,
Jet
Most of the colleges I can think of are a lot bigger than what you're looking for. There is UC Merced however - it's still quite small since it just opened a couple of years ago. Also there's UOP in Stockton - it has about 3500 undergrads. It's pretty pricey, but I understand they have good financial aid. Another one is William Jessup University in Rocklin, which is just a bit northeast of Sacramento. It's very small, and price-wise it looks to be comparable to the UC.
HTH.

I'm sorry, Jill. It's extra hard when everything hits at once. Praying for more peaceful times ahead.

Apparently you're not alone. Words Women Hate
I don't understand people who pull out suddenly in front of me when I'm driving, then proceed to drive 10 miles an hour.
I don't understand people who forward ridiculous emails without bothering to check them out first to see if they're true.
