Oh, me me me! I never skipped class! I'm so totally lame, I even showed up on "Senior Ditch Day" because some of the teachers were sternly saying we weren't allowed to do that.

Just so you know that scaredy-cats like me exist, lol.

I had to show up... because I missed too many classes....but I cut out early 🤣 needless to say, I still wrote my own note 😁

This sort of overly dramatic, histrionic response from the AP is why a lot of kids tune out in school.

I had a teacher who'd call my mother and pull a similar routine as this AP. His reaction didn't make me say "He's got a valid concern. I should stop cutting his class". It made me think "This guy is an a$$ and I am justified to avoid his class as much as possible".

Yes. I cut out on school all the time when I was a senior. I would write my own notes and sign my mother's name. When they would call my mom and say did you write this note, she would be super annoyed with me that I cut school but only because she got up early every morning to make sure I got to school on time and that she got to work on time. She would argue with them and say what are you going to do about it, she has a 4.0 GPA. I don't think she's going to have any problem graduating high school. Bahahaha  my mom rocked.

  3. I am embarrassed to say I just woke up. In my defense I was up super late eating lots and lots of chocolate since I finished school for this semester.

And then dh left the fan on because he forgot to turn it off and it makes me super cold and I don't get out of bed. Those are my excuses!

So I have moved everything from today to tomorrow.... Well except for looking for all of the Christmas ornaments in hubby's office closet and therapy for youngest which will be via zoom.

  4. Ok, I have not read any of the responses.

My youngest who is a senior this year and in honor classes and dual enrollment and is the genius of all things computer related and the school uses him for this, he and his friends have had all three lunches in the cafeteria on more than one occasion. Guess what happened to him? Nothing.

If anybody had said anything to him, I probably would have gone off. Now granted my son has a 504, and everybody who knows him loves him, I would dare the powers that be to try something. I am a fierce Mama Bear and the school knows it. And if anybody ever accused him of drugs, it would be on. I don't take crap from the main boob that runs the school. Let's just say I'm not known for mincing words. Who cares if a bunch of honor roll students want to take three lunches.

I'm pretty sure there are bigger things to worry about. And I'm pretty sure that the administration does not want me to come in and have a meeting with them.... because well, I have no qualms about going there and finishing the sh** they start. Been there, done that.

Besides, it's not like they left the campus. Pick your battles people.

  6. I had my hysterectomy mid to late 30s, and my doctor had nagged me for a good 3 to 4 years before to get it done. I finally caved and I remember waking up in the hospital room and I was in pain from surgery but the constant pain that I had been in for years was gone. The doctor was in the room and I said to him wow I feel so much better!! Lol I should have done this years ago! Best decision I ever did.

Go to hyster sisters, it's a great website about recovery and all the different types of surgery options.

I don’t think I personally have any big successes. My Dh got a promotion and we are moving to Poland next year. It isn’t my accomplishment, but I feel like maybe I helped him a little bit.

Wow! Poland, how exciting! And yes, you as the mom and wife are a huge support, don't sell yourself short!

  8. Letting all the vacation drama disappear (w/Dil's family) because we have a lifetime of holidays to celebrate together with our children and adorable, awesome granddaughter! Both of us gma's are committed to being very present in her life and getting along in spite of differences. Granddaughter will have her entire family (those that choose to participate, cough Jackassery from a certain grand parent who has seen her twice even though his girlfriend lived in same complex as his dd) showing up to soccer and basketball games, recitals, open house at school, making meals together during future vacations and bday parties, 4th of July, all of it so she can always look around and see how much she is valued and wanted and supported by those that are lucky enough to be a part of her life.

  11. Hanging with my family especially my little peanut ( granddaughter)

Also, I spent 4 months being the primary caregiver for my daughter-in-law while she had much needed foot surgery and taking care of my granddaughter. It was quite a struggle especially since I was also doing my college classes and of course taking care of my own family. But I'm so glad I did it because she healed so nicely! All the praise goes to God!!
