Dh and I did our walk. I finally ate. He's taking youngest at 8 pm to his friend's house.
I made some tea as well. Going to surf the board and then read.

Both trees are done.
Not sure if I want to decorate the ombre pink/silver tree.
Glued stuff back together
Youngest is spending the night at a friend's house... we'll see how that goes.

Desperately need to shower and wash my hair
The doctor's office called to switch an appointment time and his receptionist was like oh my gosh you sound so sick and I confessed I was. Hope I'm better by Christmas Eve.
Going through the ornaments and giving my oldest most of his so that they can be put on his own family tree.
Found a couple that need to be glued back together lol
Not cooking dinner not doing the dishes not cleaning not really doing much of anything

I caved and cleaned the kitchen.
Went through all the boxes of ornaments
Got the trees up and lights on w/youngest, well really he did all the lights
Put the green one in the living room family room?? I can never keep that straight.
My new pink tree is in the front room which is "my" room
And we have my tacky metallic pink tree that dd can decorate lol
Dh wants to go on a walk tonight

Dd took me to the city and we went to trader Joe's. We're back and she's on her way to her best friend's house to spend the night. I am now having my morning coffee LOL. DH and youngest went to the Indian store and got stuff for Christmas dinner.
Walk and do a video! It really got cold when we came out of Trader Joe's.

We're hosting Christmas Eve, I'm making Curry, basmati rice and a yogurt sauce.
I'll bake a few things.
I told everyone to bring their favorite thing to eat for sharing.
Christmas Day we're going to my oldest's house. He's doing a honey baked ham and I assume I'm bringing everything else 😂

The bomb threat/shooting threat thing is making the rounds here as well and my school system has already pre-emptively put out emails that these threats have been thoroughly investigated and they are unsubstantiated.
We just had a day where hundreds of students either did not go to school or parents retrieved them because of a SM “rumor” about a shooting; I just spoke about it here.
ETA: Here is a portion of the email sent form my school board:
posted on TikTok and other social media platforms. Some of these posts indicate that all schools in the United States will be targeted with violence on Friday, December 17th. Many of the posts share similar wording or are duplicative posts being shared by many. These “threats” have been determined to be unsubstantiated.
Similar post emailed out to parents here too. My youngest was done Wednesday.

We're at the tail end of an adult child finishing their maturity and they're finally almost done...it's both frightening and exhilarating at the same time. We can literally hear it in their voice as they overcome the struggle to b***** , whine and complain and get all huffy and mad.

I would buy the premade refrigerator cookies and bake them. With a pan of Christmas brownies. Make a double batch and sprinkle w/ red and green sprinkles.

@readinmom I'm sorry 😔 keeping up the prayers
Took youngest out in the yucky weather and he got his haircut.
We came home, I showed and washed my hair.
I'm making two gift bags, one for my best friend's mom so she'll stop taking best friend stuff that I give her, 🙄 and one for our family hairdresser. I get my hair done tomorrow and then DD gets her hair done Saturday.
I put away a few dishes did a load of laundry it's in the dryer now.
My main thing is I cannot find the the boxes with all of the Christmas wrapping stuff in it LOL. I have no idea where I put it!

Area rugs with hardwood floors?

We have hardwood all downstairs (except bathroom/ laundry room) I have three matching rugs in one big area, two rugs that don't match in another living area, and runners by the doors and three 4 doormats by the doors. I'd like the rugs to match in the other area, but I'm too cheap to buy another rug when it's not needed.
