  1. 30 days is sufficient and they should prorate the rent accordingly.
  2. I use this too. It's magic. I keep a dish wand full of the mixture in the shower and swipe any time I think about it in the shower, rinsing after. It stays sparkling clean. We have white tile and grout.
  3. Different colors for different offenses. Green for lying, yellow for rudeness, purple for interruptions...
  4. It was serving questionable meat to unknowing guests that I found off-putting. I agree with the rest of your comment.
  5. Did anyone watch? I would not want to be a guest at the dumpster diver's apartment. Yuck to chicken from the the trash. And how did they find advertisers for a show full of people who don't spend aNY money?
  6. A college savings account. She won't care about presents now and will appreciate the savings when she's older.
  7. This actually tastes really good. You might find that small changes like that taste better than you thought! :001_smile:
  8. http://www.graspingforobjectivity.com/2012/02/jeans.html :D:D
  9. Can you bathe at night and prepare breakfast the kids can eat without you so you can get right to work when you get up? Something like a muffin and banana don't need a refrigerator.
  10. I can see the anti-Mungo protest signs now. "Weenies against Mungo." "Cupcakes stick in my craw!!11!!!!" "Down with Crockpots!"
  11. Since so many clothes *come* with holes as part of the design, and these were otherwise in very good condition (small holes, not gaping, and already inertentional "distressed"), I didn't think they were a problem. Apparently it's only cool if the manufacturer added the holes! That's not done here, I'm told. It's only cool if the manufacturer added the holes! I'm not sending the kids out looking slobby. :)
  12. This is true. DS is at an affluent public school, and the kids are well dressed. I think it would be noticed and commented on if he wore the same 3 shirts over and over. He was teased for wearing jeans with holes in the knees, which is fairly standard for little boys in my experience!
  13. This would drive me nuts, but I'm coming from the other end of the spectrum with *way too much* so I think there must be a peaceful middle ground!
  14. DS is actually waiting on a referral to an endocrinologist for his slow growth - just under 2" in 2 years. The jeans were a little long when he got them and they just fit now. Not all kids grow at the same glatial speed as mine, though, and I can definitely see how fewer clothes that don't need to last more than 6 months makes sense! I'll definitely consider the idea of shopping in batches that you've presented. I don't love clothes shopping, but also don't love laundry or spending unnecessary money, so it's all figuring out which way is best for us.
  15. How much is a "slew"? The rest sounds about right for me!
  16. Interesting idea. My kids are slow growers and DS has worn the same pants and short sleeved tees for 2 years. DD is getting a second year out of some clothes, too. I really don't want to have to replace because they're worn out before they're outgrown.
  17. Don't they wear out faster from such frequent washing?
  18. I wear size 10.5WW (or, huge boats) and *love* my red shoes. They're Hush Puppies floral skimmers, slide on leather shoes that seem to go with just about everything, are comfortable, and cute! Hard to find cute at this size! My wardrobe is largely navy and gray with bits of red, teal, and blue. I'll happily wear the red shoes with almost every outfit in my wardrobe.
  19. We're past potty messes but they are messy enough to need 2 shirts a day some days. I am aiming for laundry once a week.
  20. I have it set up with 7 bottoms and 14 tops to make those 14 outfits. Still lots of variety, but not quite 200! :) The bottoms are mostly neutrals (jeans, khakis, knit shorts and skirts, etc.) The goal with putting away by outfit was limiting the indecisive pull out of everything in the drawer looking for something to wear. This gives two options per day in a small drawer, so they get to choose but don't get to pull through everything to get there. My kids get everything dirty on the first wearing, so I'd be washing everything twice a week if we only had 3 bottoms each!
