  1. So did I! I actually opened the thread thinking I'd see an idea for replacing our shower!
  2. I had to Google this to get it! :blushing:
  3. Jean! Did you see how many likes that post got? I think it's a record for me! I'm going to mention you more often!
  4. That sounds miserable for her! I had PF several years ago and my chiropractor did PT on me and recommended stretches/exercises on www.heelthatpain.com (look under the Home Remedies tab). Maybe you could help her do some of those gently until you can see someone else. Best wishes for speedy healing!
  5. She and I live a long ways apart, too. She visited St. Louis and we met at St. Louis Bread Co. Now I'm jealous that her dd wasn't with her! Jean, didn't you get to experience a tornado siren the night before we met?
  6. I just bought a ceramic pumpkin-shaped plate that has "Give Thanks" cocktail napkins on it. It was $19.99 at Hallmark. I was going to link a photo for you, but couldn't find it on their website.
  7. That sounds so painful, Janeway. I'm very sorry. :grouphug:
  8. Thanks, Pen and Gaillardia, for the replies! He doesn't want to take anything before bed so as not to increase the frequency of getting up to go to the bathroom. I appreciate the caution about valerian and the thoughts about new pillows or mattress. I'm sharing everyone's thoughts w/my sister, who is his main support, and we will make sure his doctor is involved in any decision to add a product to his routine. Again, thanks to all for taking the time to give your thoughts! I appreciate it so much!
  9. Thank you so much, everyone! I really appreciate the feedback! Jean, I really doubt that he has an issue w/his prostate considering how good he is at going to checkups and following doctors' orders, but I will ask him. Come back to StL and I'll buy you a great lunch in exchange for the advice! I'll discuss all the replies with him--thanks again!
  10. Thanks for your reply, Hyacinth! Dad does not feel well rested. He had been used to feeling well with 7 - 7 1/2 or so hours at night and a short nap in the afternoon, but now is getting maybe 5 1/2 plus a nap. He also isn't drinking fluids in the evening, hoping to reduce the 3 AM bathroom trips.
  11. Bumping in case someone who didn't see it earlier might have some input. :001_smile:
  12. I am SO far behind in liking these! Please consider your funnies liked, everyone! You're all so very witty!
  13. My 82 yr old dad goes to sleep around 9:00 or 10:00 PM and usually wakes around 3:00 AM to go to the bathroom. After that, he often can't get back to sleep. He doesn't consume much caffeine (and what he drinks is early in the day), drinks no alcohol, eats sensibly, doesn't have major stressors, has a 30-60 min. nap most days, and is in really great health. He asked me what I thought about him taking Deep Sleep (as recommended to him by a friend), and I don't have any experience with this type of thing. Would you please share anything that might be helpful in making a decision? Of course, he will also consult with his doctor. Thank you!
  14. We ordered from Easy Canvas Prints a few weeks ago and were very happy with price and quality. A coupon code popped up when we were on the website, so a print that was going to cost around $200 ended up being only $40.
  15. When COBRA is not an option... Try PYTHON. Or ANACONDA. Or RATTLESNAKE.
  16. Do you keep a stash of cash at home? If yes, what is your address?
  17. These are SO SO SO funny!!! I'm wiping away tears!!! I was texting w/someone about going to a friend's sporting event. The text was supposed to say that I was going to Zach's games. It got changed to "s*x games" A friend who is a realtor thought he was sending "Great!" to a client. What he actually sent was "Teat!"
  18. THEY STILL EXIST??? ROADTRIP!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. We had Minsky's in Columbia, MO, back in the day! I had totally forgotten about that YUMMY pizza! Thanks for the memory!

Yes, they are challenging. Maybe that's what makes them so rewarding.

Sometimes it feels like a bunch of challenge for a little reward! :)
