So for those who use Yesterday's News to line the cage. How often do you change it? Do you just dump it out? How? I have a big cage that I don't want to carry outside to dump, or dismantle.
-
Thanks, everyone. I'll try lining the cage with cloth/fleece. I did that for our rats. They are not litter boxed trained yet. I'm trying, but they still poop everywhere. I will move the box to the hay bin. I'll try baking soda as well.

Okay, I had no idea how messy rabbits are. I've reached my tipping point. I can't stand the mess. I really can't. I've had all sorts of pets and I'm used to animal mess, but these rabbits take the cake. I am tired of our school room smelling like urine and there being hay and poop everywhere. I swear I think they spend the nights throwing hay and poop across the room. I have no idea how it gets everywhere. Those of you who keep rabbits indoors just how do you contain/control the mess? I don't have them outside because it gets very hot outside, we have no shade, and they are not a heat tolerant breed. I need help before I'm pushed to making rabbit stew.

100 squat challenge, upper body torture (hover push ups are hard. I had to finish on my knees), and then quick upper body HIIT (I threw in a round of pull ups too) I already feel sore. Eggs for breakfast

I don't know. It's cold where you live. Maybe keep your socks on.

I gave up on Jenny Mollen's book because I found myself thinking, "I just don't care." I don't care about this woman or her life so I asked myself why I was reading the book. I wanted something to make me laugh, but I'm just bored instead.

Welcome to the High School Board
Mom-ninja. replied to BlsdMama's topic in High School and Self-Education Board
My first question is: is there anyway to go back in time? I'm not sure I'm ready for high school, but my ds just keeps moving the clock ahead without waiting for me. -

Where do you buy and sell your used curricula?
Mom-ninja. replied to Hyacinth's topic in K-8 Curriculum Board
Honestly, I've stopped buying used. I found I wasn't saving much. -

After 7+ years doing this, I just figured out...

Tell you what, you come teach my youngest to read and I will grade your kids' work. I hate teaching reading. With a passion. It's like finger nails on a chalk board. Oh, I also hate to bake with my kids. Can't stand it. Lose my patience every time. I've also been known to lock myself in the room to get away from my kids. -
How do I motivate my husband to do things on his own?
Mom-ninja. replied to Home'scool's topic in The Chat Board
My dh creates paper piles. Drives me crazy. At least it did. Now, at the end of each week I tell him I will be throwing the papers away so he should take out what needs to be kept. I have thrown away important papers in the past when he didn't go through it. Now he goes through it. I don't bluff. -
How do I motivate my husband to do things on his own?
Mom-ninja. replied to Home'scool's topic in The Chat Board
Except that I married an adult man and not a boy child. As an adult I fully expect him to act as one. Why do women tell themselves that men can rightfully act like children and we deal with it. Why do women coddle this behavior? Why do women feel as if men do not have to do jobs that disgust them, but we do? Will their penis fall off if they do disgusting chores or are not patted on the back and have their self esteem fluffed up? I call bullsh!t. My grandparents, who were married for 68 years before my grandmother died, certainly did not coddle to this behavior. If my grandfather did not pull his weight then you better believe my grandmother let him know it. They had a great marriage. Growing up my grandfather told me that a man who refuses to do housework or childcare is not a true man. At 95 he still says it. I'll take my grandfather's words of wisdom. -

I really have no advice. Was he always like this and you've put up with it but are now looking to change it? Or is this a new thing? If you've allowed this from the get go then ask yourself why and why you want to change it now. If he's used to always having his way then of course he will resist to change. To be frank, if my dh acted like that he'd be cut off from sex faster than he could say the word sex. I'd also become a whole lot more "difficult" to the point that he'd realize he had no idea what difficult meant in the past. But I'm not known for my gentle approach or coddling. -

We lost our Lab at age 11 also due to cancer. I'm sorry. I hope your dog is pain free and content his last few days.

Not feeling it lately. I have to force myself out of bed. I'm super cranky. I'm dog tired. I am stiff and sore all over for no good reason. Forced myself to do Tracy Anderson this morning and she annoyed me the whole time.

Finished Emma: A Modern Retelling It was okay. Nothing to write home about. Didn't really capture the essence of the original, and made me dislike Emma even more so than the Austen version.
