  1. I have two boys using MIF. One is in 3A and the other one is in 4A. Trying to find out if I should place them in the same level for Singapore Standard or should I go down a level?
  2. It's to soon to say right now, but we may be joining the club! My son has his COVD evaluation on Wed. I'll be sure to report the results as soon as we know something.
  3. Just an update: my son has taken the Verticy test and I'm now waiting for placement. I'm still considering this option and plan to attend the orientation tomorrow for my school district. I think he will be a good candidate for Verticy.
  4. Thanks so much for your help! I'll give paypal a call in the morning. BTW, I didn't use the buyers real name. :)
  5. Thanks! Now I'm wondering why it only happened with this particular transaction?
  6. This is what it says: Jul 19, 2013 Payment From Joy Macon Unclaimed Choose action Accept $20.00 USD When I click Verify this is what I get: Verify Your Account You must be a Verified member to accept this payment. To accept this payment, please verify your account now. PayPal requires that accounts receiving payments from our PayPal Website Payments and Instant Purchase for Auctions features be Verified. This increases the security of the PayPal network and lowers your risk by completing one of the requirements of our Seller Protection Policy. You can also refuse this payment and continue to receive payments using other features. But to ensure that you can always receive payments - verify your account today!
  7. I was sent a payment today but the payment is unclaimed. My debit card has always been linked to my account. For some reason with this payment it's asking for my bank or savings information before I can accept it to become a verified customer. My hubby doesn't feel comfortable with me linking our account. Will I be able to accept the payment? BTW, I haven't had any issues with any other transactions just this one in particular.
  8. He worked through FLL 1&2 and some of 3 already.
  9. Having moved to FL a little over a year ago with two black male sons, I am saddened to say the least. Although, not surprised!
  10. Last school year I sucessfully used The Sentence Family/Mad Libs with my 4th grade son who has dyslexia/dysgraphia. I'm looking for suggestion for 5th grade. Thanks
  11. Bummer! Keep watching, it will probably go on sale again before the summer is out.
  12. By the way, where did you get that reading strip from?
  13. I watched the first part of the video. The book he's reading is listed as grade 5 on the AR reading list. I think overall he's doing well. I would suggest going down a few levels to work on fluency. Another reason to lower the book level is to continue to boost his confidence. Happy Reading 😀
  14. 😂😂😂😂😂
  15. Maybe start All About Spelling or whatever spelling you think will fit your child and FLL for grammar. I'm actually going to start Mega-Words with my son but he's going into the 4th grade.
  16. That's going to be a lot of fun! We are also FL residents and just got back from Disney last week. Before we became FL residents we stayed at the Polynesian which I love, but this time we stayed at the Dolphin. I must say I really like the Dolphin. It's not a Disney hotel but it's considered a deluxe hotel and it's still on Disney property. FL residents also get a special rate, which is nice. I was told the Swan is a little more quiet than the Dolphin. It may be a great place for a anniversary. You can take a nice stroll on the Boardwalk, take the ferryboat or walk to Epcot/MGM Studios. It's really in a great location! The Swan and Dolphin also has a few resturants that are quite delicious. I would eat dinner at the Blue Zoo, II Mulino, or Shula's. You also have the Flying Fish at the Boardwalk. If you go to Animal Kingdom catch the bus to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and have lunch or dinner at Sanaa. There's so much to see and do at Disney. Definitely check into a few shows.
  17. Praying everyone is ok! ðŸ™
  18. When I spoke of paragraphs I was referring to narrative, descriptive, and expository. From my understanding PS kids start writing papers early 1st/ 2nd grade. At least this is the case where a friend of mine send her kids to school. I'm probably thinking too hard about this! Thanks for the feedback. I'm looking into a few recommendations.
  19. I was quite concerned after speaking to a friend who has a daughter in the same grade. It seems like the PS kids are writing different types of paragraphs at this age. My son has never written a paragraph before. He can definitely construct a complete sentence but I wasn't going to start a program with him until 4th grade. But of course things have changed now.
  20. Looking for something I can easily use over the summer. He's 8.5 yrs old going into fourth grade next school year. So far we've worked through WWE 1&2, and copy work/dictation.
  21. I've been trying to do this with my 4S phone but for some reason it's not working. Ugh the word through Siri, then you can highlight the definition and select "Speak".
  22. I'm looking for a dictionary app that not only read the word aloud but also read the definition.
