  1. Thanks for the suggestions! I will try the mushrooms too he loves those as well.
  2. Tomorrow is my Dh's birthday and he has requested seafood fettuccine for dinner. I have found the Olive Garden recipe for Alfredo sauce however I am not that big on seafood. I will make chicken breast for myself and those children who will balk at the seafood part. I am looking for ideas about what type of seafood to serve. What say the hive? Any suggestions?
  3. That was so funny! I had to send it to the rest of my co-op.
  4. I myself was born with a hole in my heart. It closed up on its own. I vaguely remember the many doctors visits growing up. :grouphug: As you go through the waiting and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
  5. In our family, it is my 37 yr old sil who dresses like that. On Easter she had a skirt so short that when she sat across the room from me, I could see her panties! Any way my sweet nieces are following in her footsteps as well. Ugh! At least they live 2 1/2 hrs. away. But I do worry about them.
  6. I can so relate! We have four weeks of school left to do. However due to this holiday, camp, and that relative visiting plus the nice weather we haven't done anything for three weeks.:banghead: Back to it next week!
  7. I am considering teaching health. Not sure where to start. Any recommendations? Do you use a curriculum or just use life?
  8. :grouphug: Praying for you and your family! :grouphug:
  9. Oh ouch! I can see why you would be biased! :001_smile:
  10. on the next block over is OPEN! Woo Hoo! We have been waiting for it to open for-ever! It has a basket ball court, baseball field, playground and bathrooms. We can now walk to a park and not spend the extra gas to get to one. Plus when the kids go back to ps we will be able to do p.e. Gotta go play now!
  11. The PS starts Sept. 3 but we are taking a vacation that week. So we will start Sept. 8.
  12. My two oldest are at camp this week. Which means most of the daily chores fall to me. I realized today that I really miss their help. Today I had to clean the hamster cage. Blech! I miss those kids!
  13. Welcome good to meet you. You will find the people here are friendly and informative. :D
  14. We didn't get to see much of the fireworks. They were hidden in the clouds. Ugh!
  15. Thanks for the ideas. She loves to bake with me.
  16. and one more to go! My dd(9) leaves for her first camp experience tomorrow. We are just finishing up packing her stuff for camp.:001_smile: Then we drive her to camp 2 hours away.:auto: My ds(12) leave on Tue. A.M. I get to repeat this process all over again Monday.:glare: That leaves me with on child at home. Any ideas for activities (preferably low cost to free) that I could do with dd (6)? She has always had her siblings to play with. Now she will just have me.
  17. Colleen it was pretty wild last night. The news reported that we got hit with about 2500 lightning strikes.
