  1. Thanks so much, you guys. So far, dd is still nursing well and doesn't seem to be uncomfortable. Hopefully we can just ride it out until Monday. I really appreciate your help!
  2. I just noticed that dd has thrush-- some websites say to ride it out; it'll clear w/in a week or two. Others say to get meds from Pediatrician (like Nystatin)... what would you do?? Should I take her up to the urgent care place since the doctor's office is closed for the weekend?? Please help! Thanks~

  8. is there a copyright issue with that?? I assumed that I could freely use anything on Google Images w/o giving credit or worrying about violating privacy/ownership issues. Am i wrong? I doubt the blog police are going to hunt me down, but at the same time, I don't want to post something illegally. Anyone know??
  9. This is my very first one... wahoo! Link is below :o)
  10. I'd like to post a picture of our current read-aloud in my side bar (or perhaps in a post at a later date)... how do I do that?? Thanks so much for your help!
  11. Thanks, Heidi! I was having trouble doing that last night, but now that I know it's possible, I'll fiddle with it some more until I make work!
  12. I'm not computer savvy at all, so creating a blog is a real stretch for me! Anyhoo, I'm trying to write a new post and then add a few photos *beneath* it, but every time I attempt to upload the pics from my computer, they end up *above* my post, w/ the text underneath. That's not what I want! What am I doing wrong?? How do I get the photos to upload *beneath* the text? And what about one at a time with a bit of text in between? How do I do that? Your help would be so very appreciated... this is unchartered territory for me and so far, it's very hostile!
  13. do you *schedule* a few pages or problems each week, or do you just pull it off the shelf whenever you feel like it? I've had PGCM on my Rainbow wish list for ages now, and I think it's time I actually buy it and make use of it, lol-- I'm just trying to figure out now whether I want to schedule it weekly or just pull it out every once in a while when we need a change of pace. What works for you?
  14. Thanks so much, ladies.... I never considered just skipping the rice cereal altogether! It is rather blah, at best, so it certainly makes sense that she just might not like it. And I never even thought to wait a bit longer until she can self-feed w/ veggies and fruit-- that's a great idea! The docs always stress that rice cereal so I never even considered thinking out side the box and skipping it altogether-- I love it! Your help is *so* appreciated! Blessings to you all!
  15. to learn to eat rice cereal from a spoon? I introduced my 6 month old to cereal last Wednesday and she still tries to push it out of her mouth with her tongue. I remember it taking at least a few days for my other littles to "get it," but a week?? Any suggestions?
  16. My 7yo ds just read Fantastic Mr. Fox last week and really enjoyed it. It's a thin book and a quick read. He's also listened to several others on tape-- they're all extremely funny and had us all roaring with laughter. I just don't think you can go wrong:o) Enjoy!
  17. How do you pick your photos?? It sounds like such a silly question, but I'm curious :o) Is the pic you choose each week one you've taken recently, or perhaps one you took eons ago? Or is it possible that the photo you choose any particular week is one you can't even call your own (and if so, how'd you find it?)? Truth be told, I've never paid any attention to these posts until this morning-- I was up early with an unhappy babe, and after reading all the posts that appealed to my current circumstances, I decided to take a peak at today's WW entries-- I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed them! So thank you for sharing... your pictures made the wee hours much more enjoyable!
