  1. Does anyone have one that they are happy with? I need one. I had one, but it was a cheaper model ($30) and only lasted for a few months then died. I am thinking about ordering this one but would love to hear from the hive before I place the order. Thanks! :)
  2. The interview was last night. Dh feels it went well, but it is hard to tell with telephone interviews. They were making the decision within a couple of hours and sending paperwork up for approval. We should know within a week. Please pray for us. We both want this job/move. :) Thanks, hive. :grouphug:
  3. :iagree: Excellent ideas! For the 9th birthday of my ds we went to a camp with a lake and they did team building exercises with all of the boys. They had a great time. :D They did a rope course with them too and the boys loved it. Have fun!
  4. I read this AFTER writing my post. We share the same birthdays and said the same thing. :D
  5. :iagree: My bday is 12/28. ;) My actual birthday was a small family celebration (birthday gifts in birthday paper), then my actual birthday party (=friends) was my 1/2 birthday at the end of June. Great fun. Two celebrations and it was easier on everyone. Another good reason to do it this way was that around the holidays, and especially between Christmas and New Years, my friends and their families were always busy.
  6. :iagree: There is cinnamon in the recipe for all of them. :D They are wonderful. Now I can't go back to the oatmeal raisin cookies on the back of the oatmeal container. :tongue_smilie:
  7. I made these last night and *had* to share the recipe with the hive. ;) Excellent cookies, and I do not have a sweet tooth. Like one of the reviewers added in her review, I divided the dough into three batches and added *mini semi-sweet chocolate chips, *cranberries and coconut (my favorite), and *raisins. Yum! I hope someone will enjoy them. Think of it this way if it is getting colder where you live (40's outside now here in PA)..... the oven will help heat the house. ---------- Finally, I added 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts to the batter and then divided it into 3 bowls. In one, I added 1/3 cup of raisins, in another, 1/3 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips, and in the last one, I added 1/4 cup of dried cranberries and 1/4 cup of shredded coconut. They needed a full 10 minutes to bake and they were all DELICIOUS!!!
  8. Thanks so much. :001_smile: I will post after the interview, but it will probably be some time before we have an answer. The federal government is usually s.l.o.w. ;)
  9. DH has a phone interview tomorrow evening (8pm est) for an overseas job. :hurray: We have been trying to get overseas for *years* and are very excited about this possibility. Prayers would be appreciated! :) Kind thoughts and well wishes are also welcome. :D
  10. Cuties!! Yes, all 3 of them!;) Thanks for sharing. :001_smile:
  11. :iagree: Shaklee products are excellent and have all of the studies to support them.
  12. Thanks! I have that one bookmarked now too. :D
  13. We like this meatloaf from the 2009 Southern Living Cookbook. YUM! I make another without the tomoto sauce, but have learned that I like them on the jelly pans so they are not cooking in the grease. Another trick that I just heard, but have not tried, is to put bread in the bottom of the loaf pan to soak up the grease. I still prefer the jelly pan. :D
  14. I would advise them to speak with a couple of bankruptcy attorneys. The consultations for most attorneys are free, and they can go from there. From my knowledge (years ago) while I was getting my Paralegal degree, you can keep your house as long as it is current and you will continue paying on it. It is excluded from the bankruptcy. The other bills would be included, unless they have student loans. From memory, those are the only 'loans' that cannot be included. Again, an attorney would be their best bet for current laws and specific information for their situation. HTH. ;-)
  15. :grouphug: Prayers for strength and peace for you. :grouphug:
