  1. :iagree: Perfect pitch can be a major pain. Even if you don't really have it. I don't but I once had to walk out of a choral rehearsal in physical pain because the conductor decided to rehearse a piece a whole tone higher than the key I knew it in. It was like someone sticking a screwdriver into each of my ears then wriggling them around. Better relative pitch, now that would be useful :bigear: DD 4.5 has been doing Suzuki violin for 11 months now and has just started (in the last week) piano (non-Suzuki). Good luck OP
  2. I have used it for the last four months and it's been very helpful especially with the fingernails lol. I was pondering whether or not to get it next year but I didn't there was an app. An app would be perfect for me.
  3. Just ordered Building Foundations of Scientific Understanding :hurray: I'm a bit irked they don't have volume 1 on kindle though.
  4. I wore DD until I was 20 weeks pregnant with DS - she was 2.5. DS is 19 months and I wear him whenever he lets me. Actually I wore DD (now 4.5) on a strenuous hike for about 40 minutes a few weeks ago. DS had gone to sleep on DH's back and she couldn't walk any further. Thank goodness I had another sling in my bag :)
  5. When you say for reporting purposes do you mean that you are required to report for her or are you just thinking ahead?
  6. I was wondering along these lines. DD has a traditional electronics kit for 10+ year olds (she's 4.5) which she loves but obviously it's too fiddly for her to use without help. Snap circuits sounds like fun but..........she really likes to see the way the wires actually connect and I can see her pulling components out on purpose or getting frustrated that she can't clearly see the connections.
  7. We do this on the days my toddler doesn't nap. We have so much fun on those nights :)
  8. Hi there I'm new too. My children are similar ages - 4.5 and 18 months and my second was born at home. Congratulations on your pregnancy :)
  9. I find reading eggs to be much better than starfall, although it assumes the basic letter sounds taught in the first level of starfall. I haven't tried the others.
  10. Www have completely unrestricted screentime here so you may wonder why I am posting... Well, we don't actually own a tv nor any gaming devices and we have no intention of ever getting either. We also don't currently have a working DVD drive. Our littles use sites like reading eggs, watch videos online or download them from iTunes etc. We are all quite happy like this and have no plans to change.
