  1. ...it's terrible! But I believe I finally found the reason to why I may be breaking out. It's all acne-related, so no allergic reactions thank God, I cannot consume milk chocolate as much anymore though. Two weeks ago, I have had a small chocolate craving, and I ate some milk chocolate to kill the craving. The next day I had a minor breakout, but didn't really think anything of it, (I am taking acne pills now but the pills are still so new that it hasn't had a chance to fight off the bacteria like it should.) Last week I had a dermatologist appointment and my derm. explained that milk chocolate is one of the underlying causes of why I may be breaking out (one of many, most of it is due to hormones). So he advised I stay away from milk chocolate, but that if I consume dark chocolate I should not have any trouble in the future. Here is my dilema though, where do I find good quality dark chocolate!!?? I am not a big fan of dark chocolate, but my friend told me it can be quite delicious if you consume the good quality kind. Where can I find good quality dark chocolate? TIA!:001_smile::bigear:
  2. You know, your anxiety could be one of the underlying causes of your IBS. I have anxiety issues sometimes when I am going to new places or have problems, and this is now way related to IBS, but I used to get terrible acne (on pills now so it all stops thank God). But before if I was stressed out if I was going some place new or trying a new thing, and the stress would cause more acne. And then when I saw that, I would stress out more because of it and then the acne would continue to get worse!!:glare: But do you see what I mean? The extra anxiety could be causing more issues that don't need to be there. I don't know if this helps any, but I tried to relate my experience to yours. I think maybe instead of anticipating things, just try to go about a normal routine as if nothing unusual was going on. Although I don't have IBS, I know how anxiety and stress can affect a person.:tongue_smilie: :grouphug: and Blessings.

  4. Great, thank you so very much TechWife, this is perfect!:)
  5. Oh wow! You make a lovely couple. Congragulations Stephanie!!!:001_smile:
  6. Sorry it took me forever to reply, I have had time to read, but now time to reply to any of your responses. All of your recommendations and input are absolutely fabulous and let me say, they all look good. I cannot wait to start purchasing/borrowing some of these books to get a better understanding of God. And I will be trying to find ways to minister to others in my community, although my community is not very acceptable of my Faith, they prefer to leave God out of things. But I will try to show that I don't want to push Faith in them, but show them how strong God is and how He loves even those who turn from Him. Thank you all so much!:)
  7. Thank you all so very much for your very kind words and book recommendations, and video recommendations, it all looks so amazing. And I will be honest here, I have not put much time into communicating with God lately, I always put it off thinking I can find time later but I never do. So now you all have my brain working in the right direction with these fabulous book suggestions that I cannot wait to delve into! Your kind words of encouragement and suggestions are so sweet and they make me all like you so much more!! Thank you again, and I cannot wait to grow in my walk with God. :)
  8. It looks good, thank you for the book suggestion!:) hmm... Good point, I like the idea of that and will be looking for more opportunities to get involved. Thank you!
  9. I as a Christian take my faith very seriously, and I would love to spread the love of God all over, but I am lacking in some areas. I read my bible, am very devoted to God, follow a great Christian blog that posts directly to young women of my age and older, but I want more. I understand my bible, but I want more in depth because at time I feel I don't always understand what God is trying to tell me. I don't attend church (for various reasons, but the main reason is that all the churches around here "push" too much) so I would love a great selction of books that go more in depth about God. I want to know more about Him, but I don't know which books I should buy/borrow, there are so many! I want books that are engaging and not ones that take forever to get through, I want to feel like I've learned something and have grown in my relationship with the Lord. Any book reccommendations?:bigear:
  10. My dad is a huge Giants fan, so we are rooting for the Giants here!!!!!!! GO GIANTS!!!!! (I don't like the Pats, and I'm in New England!! People just give you the evil eye if you say you don't like them!)
  11. I agree wholeheartedly with this, God loves you, he created you in His image, not anyone elses. You are His, and as we all are no matter who believes and who does not believe. A part of the problem of being normal human beings is we think too much, we try to have control over everything, like life, who should stay and who should go. Or why it was unfair, when God has it all planned out, nothing ever comes a surprise to Him, He knows it all. And as Christians, Baptists, Catholic, etc. we will deal with pain and sorrow, but there will be a time for happiness and a time for weeping, and Jesus said this in the bible that those who follow Him aren't guarenteed to live an easy life. The pain that life has caused, didn't happen by accident, it can make you that much stronger to live a better life, make better decisions and above all living it for you Creator. God sent His son, He became flesh and died for you, and everyone on this earth, He took away everything. Our sins are washed away if we truly believe in God, and although life is bad at times, (and I know how it can be), God is there for you no matter what you are going through. Talk to Him, have a conversation, vent out a little, we are only human, but remember that He is God and will make all the wrongs right in the end. :grouphug: and prayers for you and your family, remember that you are worthy and that we have no control over life at all, but there will be a day that we'll meet our Maker face-to-face, and we will truly be happy.
  12. LOL! No ma'm, and thank you for the joke, I needed that!:D:lol:
  13. I won't!:001_smile: Lol, but my hands are always cold unless I warm them up...., not going to Google, not going to google!:D It also just started to happen about a month ago, my sister has the same issue except it spreads to her cheeks and nose. I don't understand what it could be. We live in a basement, unfinished, so it doesn't have a lot of heat. It usually only happens when I get too warm, or hot after I have gone from being cold for awhile. It stays like this for a long time afterward too.
  14. Pretty cold, it usually occurs when they are getting too cold or too warm.
  15. This is a really odd problem that keeps reoccuring, my red nose!! Lately I have been experiencing a red nose, but it only happens after I sit down. I am usually on the go all day, from the time I wake up until the time I go to be I move almost all day. But if I am to sit still for a long period of time, my nose starts to turn red, and it gets redder and redder until I get up and move again. It's becoming embarrassing, I can't go out and sit down for more than ten minutes when my nose turns red!! I don't know what to do about it, it's just really bothering me and I don't like it. Does anyone know the cause of the problem maybe? Like right now, my nose is really red...:glare:
  16. Thank you, I appreciate this so much!:001_smile:
  17. My family and I do not watch halftime, we shut the TV off or my dad turns it to a different channel. It's just too much, way too much even for adults! I mean come on, whatever happened to the safe commercials, why not put Betty White in? I love that women, she is so funny, and I think somewhat safer than Modanna. We usually prepare food during that time, do some project, or go for a nice walk and then come back to the game.
  18. JFS, I absolutely agree with you, I like all of these fields, history is my favorite, and Accounting is definitely my second favorite here. I posted a lot about nursing because I just wanted a degree that would pay well, but I was not cut out for the job. It was extremely overwhemling, at first I thought I could handle it but I was wrong and I see my mistake which is one I do not want to make again. I am going to take a few college classes next year to broaden my knowledge of all the majors out there and I do not want a career soley based on money. I see where you are coming from, and I know how confusing I have been over the past months, and there is much for me to learn and I appreciate your input. I'm always grateful. I may go in to college undecided and take course here and there, or I may choose a field and learn I love another. I don't know, and I will never put anything in stone!:) Thank you memphispeg I really appreciate your input as well, I love, love, love to solve puzzles, I enjoy them so much which is why I like Accounting and finance/economics as well. My family and friends also call me the living, breathing, walking Google (I do so much research and absorb knowledge like crazy, I am always reading, writing, and researching things) so that is why I like History because it integrates all those things together. I won't set anything in stone, but I think I may have found something I enjoy. Thank you all for sharing your experiences and suggestions, they are appreciated!:001_smile:
  19. Thanks for the great info MBM and I will be posting on the General Board as soon as I can!
  20. Yes, this is one of the main reasons I am not leaning towards this job, thank you for your input!:) I like statistics a lot, (not algebra lol!) but arithmetic is my favorite, I get it from my dad and I haven't considered a statistic related career. What kind of careers like that are out there?
  21.:lol: That is funny! I had no clue sugar was that dangerous, I am going to go Vegetarian with veggies, fruits, and no sugar! Lose the sugar to last Longer, lol.
  22. I like Apologia, but that is just me. Maybe use the DIVE cd's along with the book? It could make a world of a difference if she is a visual and oral learner.:001_smile:
