  1. Good to know. IT Cosmetics looks promising!
  2. I am considering Bare Minerals. Unfortunately Aveda products contain fragrance.
  3. This!! I don't understand why so many products have citrus. It smells good for sure but I would rather my skin not look like a tomato. I read every ingredient label because even those listed as fragrance free still sneak in essential oils sometimes. Which are really just fragrances disguised as beneficial ingredients. I've never heard of Evan Healy products. Currently I am just using CeraVe and LaRoche Posay. I love LaRoche Posay's gel moisturizer! I found an oil cleanser than I like ... Softymo speedy cleansing oil. It's a Japanese brand.
  4. Has anyone tried IT cosmetics Your Skin But Better? I does have HA but it's pretty low on the ingredient list so I think I can get away with it. If you tried it do you think it would be Ok for someone with oily-ish skin?
  5. This contains fragrance and I am trying to step back from full coverage. Thanks for the suggestion!
  6. The nearest Whole Foods is probably is probably 2 hours from me. Ulta is an hour. I do order from Ulta though. I hate the hassle of returning things. Also I do have to admit I avoid all natural products as I find many of them irritating. I have done the all natural route and have come back to more conventional products.
  7. I think your right - they do have a liquid. I have never had good luck with powder foundation but it may be something to try. I feel like at this point mineral sit heavy on my skin but with the right formulation it may be ok.
  8. I know what you mean. I do still like a little bit of foundation just to even things out. I wear mascara but no other eye makeup and just little powder.
  9. I thought of this one but the Octinoxate and Hylaruonic acid puts it on the "no" list for me. Thank you so much for the suggestion! My favorite mineral sunscreen is the Laroche Posay one.
  10. The time has come for me to give up my beloved Estee Lauder Double Wear. I am in my late 40's and my formerly very oily skin is starting to get less oily. The Double Wear is just looking crepey, cakey, dull, and tired. I would like to transition to something maybe medium coverage and hopefully more youthful looking! I am a little scared of anything labeled luminous. I have my own luminous glow LOL. I have rosacea and a list of ingredients I avoid. Must be fragrance free - no exceptions!! No SPF. I cannot tolerate US manufactured chemical sunscreens. I do fine with European/Korean/Japanese. But I do try to avoid foundation with SPF No Essential Oil or Botanicals. Again, I actually do fine with some botanicals such as green tea, centella, etc. I don't like to take chances and won't try out new ingredients. Hyaluronic acid - Sometimes this bothers me. I think it has to do with the concentration more than anything. Also if you have a rec for a good sunscreen (not a chemical sunscreen manufactured in the US) that looks good under makeup and doesn't make you look like an oil slick please let me know!
  11. I find the bolded to be true, which annoys me. I have a variety of people/boards on pinterest I follow because I like the variety! If I do happen to search for something then all I get are related pins. I miss the old format when it was just the people you followed. I understand the occasional add too, they gotta pay the bills. But I really do miss the old format.
  12. i too give a fake date. Pick something you can remember easily.
  13. I do impatiens every year. I also a plant that cascades out but I can't think of the name right now.
  14. Baby sunscreens are usually mineral so that make my suggestion not useful! I didn't even think about the weight limit for flying. Trust me, I'm no stranger to tanning beds, I was a frequent user back in the 90's.
  15. I make biscuits and gravy (for supper) every year for Valentines Day. Is it romantic? No! It's something we all like and I rarely make them. I think maybe the tradition started one year when I had time to make them for breakfast and I cut out heart shaped biscuits?? I can't really remember - but anyway I now make them every year.
  16. Here a couple of recs in case your interested Face: La Rhoche Posay Anthelios Body: Cetaphil Mineral Sunscreen Paula's Choice as a mineral suncreen in the calm line but I think it's been reformulated. I like the stuff in the white tube but I haven't tried to new formulation yet.
  17. Do you know what you're allergic too? I have super sensitive skin (rosacea) and I use mineral sunscreens or sunscreens made in either Korea of Japan. If you could possibly narrow down which ingredient you're allergic to maybe we could help you find a suitable sunscreen. Korean and Japanese (as well as many other sunscreens sold all over the world) contain filters that haven't been approved for use in the US but they are much better for sensitive skin. A mineral sunscreen may do the trick - but finding one that isn't thick can be a bit of an issue!
  18. Thank you! I think I was really just looking for reassurance and I really appreciate it.
  19. I guess I feel the opposite. I don't want my daughter in college to miss class for family events. We try to schedule important events to coordinate with her schedule. Se's fairly local - less than 3 hours away - so it's pretty easy for her to come home for a weekend. Since we're paying her tuition I would rather her be in class because I want my money's worth!
  20. I think your right, I will do ham for 40. If there is a lot left we can also throw it in the freezer for another use. Thank you!
  21. The funeral is 10 - but I think it may be a shorter service. I'm thinking the family may be back to the church by 11:30 We actually do estimate 1.5 pieces of chicken, but we don't normally do ham. Which is why I'm stuck. Do I reduce the number of chicken to accommodate the ham? We are a big fried chicken area so that makes a difference. The ham is mainly for those who aren't fans of chicken (my dad and DH both don't really like chicken so that's why I'm always mindful of it) The church's youth group will meet on Sunday and they can be counted on to polish off any leftovers. I won't need to order the ham and chicken until tomorrow so I have another 24 hours to stress about it LOL.
  22. It's regular fried chicken - tenders aren't an option. It's always hit and miss what people will eat - time of the service, how many kids, how much food the family has been brought before the funeral. The location of the meal isn't in town so a quick trip to the store isn't an option.
  23. Tenders aren't an option. I will order the ham according to the number - so I will request a ham for 30, 40, etc. We do send leftovers home with the family. I have done this dozens of times so I know what I'm doing, I'm just stuck on the numbers. I have a tendency to second guess myself.
