I've tried searching a million ways and I just can't find anything. The only thread that had these terms mentioned together is part of the older board and can't be brought up. I'm looking for opinions on the DVD, as far as using it as a lecture with additional reading/lab work. I don't know why I'm struggling so much with finding a science; high school is scaring me. I feel like just reading and listening to me will be boring as all heck, and i"m looking to not make her high school life miserable. I'm also looking at adding some of those lectures for history, as well, if anyone wants to throw any input into those, but I'm not as freaked out about that as I am about science.

omg same here! today was dh first day of college; kids will be starting school next week, and I"m totally jealous. I'd love to just take a class or two, something to get my brain functioning again.

I did not like VFCR, there was just something about it that didn't work for my kids, and we didn't even get past book A We're trying EFRU this year.

That's where I'm leaning towards. Only SOTW with my 7th and Human Odyssey with my 8th. I still wanted to beef up the american history, but honestly? its making me insane.

Has anyone done this for their kid, using the book, and had weekly experiments mapped out with it? I figure if we shoot for 2 lectures a week, that gives us 6 weeks of "extra" or leeway for falling behind or rabbit trails or what have you. I've found a few ideas for a few of the weeks for experiments, but I was hoping someone had already BTDT and had a schedule to share?
