Hawaii! I want to go to Hawaii sooo bad, I dream about it all the time. I'm not sure about the weather in the summer months though.

Hi again, I have located my sister! She is ok, she was not at the mall. I am hearing from my neighbors that it was hard to get in touch with people near the mall via cell phone. I have been so shaky(panicky)....Tuesday was the 1 year anniversary of my father's death so I just couldn't stop thinking the worst for my family.... Please continue praying for the victims family. Hi Everyone, Thank you soooo very much for your prayers and concern. I was able to track down my mom, she is ok. I have yet to find my sister.... It was crazy over here, helicopters, police flying by, my phones were buzzing and ringing. Acutally , I can still hear helicopters flying over my area right now. I will definitely keep ya'll posted. Once again thank you for your prayers, good thoughts and concern. Although I lurk way more than I post, this board is truly a support system for me. May peace be upon you all....

Number 10 should be number 1in my opinion!!!! It's the best place to raise a family. ALL kevels of income can truly have a great quality of live. But that's just my opinion :)

I use my husband's without any problems. I ordered another with my name on it, but it never came.

My husband is home so it feels like a special holiday! If it wasn't so cold we would spend the day doing a nature walk and then a picnic. Since it is sooo cold we are just hanging out watching movies and playing games.

My Dad died this past January. He was only 59! This January will be the one year anniversary. I am still in shock. I was in the last trimester of my pregnancy and had a lot of attitude. I was angry at my Mother and took the anger out on him, by not picking up the phone whenever he called. When I finally picked up we spoke but I didn't say I love you when we hung up. Shortly thereafter he became ill, was hospitalized, became infected with sepsis, entered a coma, and never came back. I have major guilt for being such a brat. The stuff I was mad at didn't even matter. Actually its so hard for me to write this out as it makes me remember that his death really did happen, I'm still in such disbelief,

I use McRuffy. It's all in one, but I do add winning with writing for additional writing instruction.

I am a BIG Mcruffy fan. I use the language arts, math and science. It has been a solid and thorough program for my children. I have and am still using grades 1st thru 4th. I love that all the aspects of language arts are integrated. I am not the type to pull different products for spelling, grammar, vocabulary,reading comprehension... I will say the writing(composition) is a tad weak. I have anxiety when it comes to teaching writing, so I would like more hand holding in this area. So to supplement I am using winning with writing which has been fine.

It's having a confident attitude. You can see it in the way someone walks and talks and moves....

Ok, they are playing properly on my computer. Also if I play the entire disc without selecting one episode at a time it will play properly on our main dvd player. Weird, but better than having to send them back. Also AprilMay, try Gets a Bright Idea on disc 5 just to test if that is missing sound.

Hi to All, So I just got the Magic School Bus 52 episode dvd collection. A good portion of the episodes are missing the background music. We can still watch them just fine, but it is a little wonky without the music and sound effects. Has anyone else had this problem or did I just receive a bad batch?

This is what I usually do. Along with the costco size water bottles or juice drinks. Food is usually the last thing people in mourning want to think about.

Thank you. I feel like it's definitely working. My children have understood and retained what they have learned. Most of all they enjoy the program. I love it because it is integrated, has a spiral approach and is easy to teach. But I also feel like I am the lone Mcruffy cheerleader. I am going to order the 4th grade LA but I am still on a serious search for some reviews.

Aww man, I got so excited thinking someone replied! Thanks for listening in as I really appreciate the extra bump. :) I'm not sure why Mcruffy isn't popular, maybe I should post a thread asking why people don't use it more often. Now, I am getting a little worried that since it's not used as often, maybe I am using something that is not as great as I thought.:confused:

I have been using the Math and LA since Kindergarten and have been very pleased with it, although I would like more instruction in the writing department. My second son is a non stop talker. After 10-15 minutes of non stop, I started telling him that I he could tell me part 2 later on in the day. Then I had him drawing pictures and writing down what he wanted to tell me througout the day. At the end of the day he could pick the most important things from his list and he could elaborate for a set amount of time. This has helped alot since new he spend a good amout of the time drawing and creating stories to get his thoughts out.
