  1. Absolutely. That is and has been the real crisis. It seems that gentrification is back-firing for those who previously benefited. Aside from gentrification, black and brown people have always suffered from unfair housing practices (false inflation, higher interest rates, zoning, etc, etc). Those unfair practices that were rampant in the 20th century stymied black and brown people from building generational wealth via real estate. Consider what happened with jobs/housing during the Great Migration. So yes, you are so so right. Now that “white” people are subject to some of those same woes, it is a dire issue…all of a sudden. Housing touches a lot of areas in life, ie education. Low income areas generally have subpar school systems, for example. Now your family is set in a certain trajectory, based on housing. Such has been the plight of black and brown through America’s history. What is good for the goose must be good for the gander.
  2. Pfft. Calm down. I said it was an interesting FYI. Maybe some understanding about cannabis could help you relate better to your brother. You lamented pot smoking. A random person from the internet tried to guide you to a little knowledge. That’s it. You could put it in a piece of cake. No smoking necessary😆 I don’t smoke anything either, by the way. I am just a lady who likes to learn🤷🏻‍♀️ Take it easy-
  3. Well, it’s just an interesting FYI. The Hebrew word is mistranslated into “calamus”. It is mentioned several times throughout the OT. Considering Kaneh was a common ingredient in the anointing oil and incense, there is a strong chance that someone maybe, probably, got high:) You can look into the etymology of the word for further understanding. Just sayin’, be light on your bro. Pot is…well…kosher:) There are many unclean things to put into one’s body, and Kaneh Bosem isn’t one of them. ,
  4. Qaneh Bosem/Kaneh Bosm/Cannabis. It isn’t an evil plant:) If the “religion” you are referring to is Christianity, then you should be square with Cannabis. See Exodus 30:23, for reference. qaneh bosem—> Hebrew for cannabis. :)
  5. Conflating Jim Crow and the Black Experience to the legal woes of Trans folks is an analogous fallacy. One is racial prejudice. The other is a question of morality. The legal system is grappling with the issue philosophically, but trans issues are in no way similar to the Black Experience. To parallel the two, belittles half a millennia of slavery and violence. That is different from gender confusion, or whether or not there are legal grounds to allow men into women’s restrooms (of course, vice versa), or if little children can determine their gender or not, or any of the many layers of legal questions/issues. Skin color and gender preference are unrelated. The correlation is extraneous at best, usually made to validate or encourage legislation on behalf of Transgendered individuals, for example. Apples to Oranges.
  6. No engagement necessary. "Hamas, to my great regret, is Israel's creation”- Anvar Cohen There are many many articles and resources that document the involvement of Israel in the “creation” of Hamas. There is an easy read from the Wall Street Journal (2009) written by Andrew Higgins that gives a bit more history, and includes information on the Muslim Brotherhood. This isn’t hidden, fortunately. My oversimplification is due to time and energy. People can do their own “research”, but you won’t have to dig very deep. This type of warfare isn’t new or unique to Israel. In 2010, Hillary Clinton admitted the US “created” ie funded, the Taliban and Al-Qaida. If it be denigration, then I will gladly include my own country in that denigration. However, it isn’t denigration on my part, just historical facts that must be considered. Divide and Conquer is the philosophy, not only used by Israel, but the US as well. Both entities use very similar military tactics. This is an easy thing to research for anyone who simply cares about the Truth, or is interested in gaining more understanding. Victimization of one over the other can then cease. No false narrative.
  7. This is categorically incorrect. Hamas was created in the 1980’s by Israel (under Shamir) as an opposition to the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), who were secular nationalists, a perceived threat to the Israeli State. It is a religious group birthed by the Islamic Movement, which was/is also used by Israel as a political tool to undermine Palestinian nationalism. There is an article in the Haaretz from 2001 by American Ambassador Daniel Kurtzer, giving some insight into what Hamas is. Israeli officials have admitted to funding and creating Hamas. Of course. Arafat also confirmed this years ago. Aside from that, people should keep in mind that the mere concept of terrorism is a political tool to flow the current of popular opinion down whichever stream is beneficial at any given time. Interestingly, the heroism of Baruch Goldstein is debatable amongst Israelis🤷🏻‍♀️. Remember the Iraq War? It wasn’t about Terrorism…at all. Surely, most Americans/Westerners understand this, by now.
  8. I don’t have one..yet. I have been contemplating getting one. My plan was to make miniatures. One of my boys has been begging for one to make action figures. Curious to see the responses.
  9. The Palestinians were brutally attacked in 1948 and beyond. What rational thing should they do/have done to protect themselves? Your logic is off here, as well. You and many others seem to make statements that do not contextualize the events properly. This is an egregious error that disassociates history with contemporary events, which is dangerous.
  10. Okay, cool beans. Again, good work. I would like to concur with some of the posters regarding the rewards program. I wouldn’t be interested in those either. If you diversify those offers, I think you will gain better traction:)
  11. @Red Dove I love the concept behind the website, great job! Is this your brainchild? I think the “topics” are spot on. I hate buying books only to dislike the content. So many books for children are either subversive or blatantly against our values, and your(?) website offers an invaluable service. I would especially consider this a value for the parent who has a child who reads well above reading level, as mine did. Screening books for them was/is very time consuming. FWIW, your topics are fine, those are the things that many parents would be screening for anyway. Good Luck with the site! I think it is excellent.
  12. Little Green Radicals is my favorite. I think they are “organic”, FWIW.

Meanwhile, Palestinian genocide isn’t a hate crime? You minimize their experience, yet sensationalize the Holocaust, Israel. O, Hypocrisy. Ironically, the fascism that birthed the Holocaust, is the same fascist ideology that has oppressed the Palestinians. How is that double standard missed on anyone here? Are open air prisons a Shangri-La compared to concentration camps? How could a people who were “oppressed” do the same thing to another nation? That is, at least, unjust. How are Israeli’s more righteous than an SS officer? They are literally doing the same thing! The Golden Rule is the lick! How do you know that they should, righteously, have that land? Is it because they say so? Scripture and blood lines say other wise. And if you don’t believe in Scripture, wouldn’t that make you circumspect of the Palestinian Occupation, as your metric is purely secular? Why aren’t the African Jews allowed citizenship in Israel? Their bloodlines are proven Semitic. It is like a rotten onion that still has to be peeled.

Melissa, this is called slander. I have never said the Holocaust didn’t exist, but that what we were taught about it , for the umpteenth time. There is much awry in the common narrative, which has little to do with me. I have said nothing offensive here today. What is your issue? You are teetering on harassment. Please leave me alone, or conversate. Since when is animadversion a crime? I am not enslaved to intellectual homogeneity, no more than you. Should we end Free Speech? Do I have to like apartheid? My observations are common, not singular. Such unjust weights and balances here- Melissa, sis, stop being a bully and open your eyes. Or you could just kick rocks. ETA: ArtHaus, if you are going to say that, you will have to be more elaborate given what the Middle East is going through currently. It's a sensitive topic.
