I'm thinking of not schooling tomorrow or schooling in home economics. I didn't make the pies today. I made 2 loaves of our daily bread, a triple batch of apple bars for the Thanksgiving service and fellowship tonight. It was a wonderful service. So all the pies tomorrow!

Thank you. We usually observe St Nicholas Day but not St Lucia. It does sound like a lovely advent study. How long would you expect each day's lesson including reading and listening? I am considering stopping our Sonlight history for the month and focusing on Christmas and Hanukkah studies. I always read A Christmas Carol and Best Christmas Pageant Ever. I would love a Christmas Carol (eta, the songs not the dickens) study too.

Costco has a beautiful dried fruit and nut tray on a cutting board (arranged in a floral pattern). I saw it today and thought that I would love to receive it for a hostess gift.

Hello! I'm just getting over being sick forever. Ugh. Getting back into the swing. The bathroom looks nice. Over and out again.

My arms are also aching really badly now from holding baby dd during memorial service. I have no bruises on my arms.

I have been drinking tea constantly while sick but also have been drinking water. Have been lightheaded though that's not uncommon as I have low blood pressure. Have also been taking a ton of meds, mucinex dm and Sudafed like clockwork though I took nothing yesterday. Today I woke to no pain until after a walk to the bathroom and then the aching restarted. Ugh. I really cannot go to the Dr today as it's our lesson day. But I'll make some calls. I think it's odd to have sudden vein issues when I don't feel I have other risk issues right now.

My dr is out on med leave herself so I don't even know who I'd see.

Good morning. I'm feeling pretty good and hopefully done with the cold. The last time (a couple weeks ago) that the kids gave me a cold, it was really quick too. This is unusual for me because I'm generally the sickest for the longest. Maybe it's because I'm middle aged and have already had all the viruses by now. I made pumpkin (sweet potato) loaves instead of muffins. I should do this more often. I usually make muffins because they bake faster but I prefer to toast the sliced loaves. I use the downeast maine pumpkin bread recipe on allrecipes, except I use only 2 c of sugar and 3/4 of oil, and add a little butter and double the spices. And I substituted sweet potato for pumpkin. So I guess I don't make the recipe at all but always use it for reference.

I'm keeping them. They are pretty trim boots so better for dresses but don't look like the very trendy booties. I wish the brown was darker but I think I'll keep both brown and black because I don't have anything brown I like right now. On prime day, I also ordered These which I will probably also keep. They look nice and are comfortable but not my usual style.

I'm making pumpkin muffins with our leftover baked sweet potatoes.
