  1. Thanks, Mercy. Yes, I agree about the antihistamine. It personally makes me very sluggish the next day and may not be safe long term. I hope this helps ds. He isn’t even stressed or anything, so I don’t think that’s the problem. It seems to have been going on for awhile, now.
  2. I like to fill mine at home in the morning (mine is only 30 oz though) so I don’t have to keep refilling smaller cups. If I leave, I keep it in the car and sip while I’m out. It’s always ready and full. I only need to get a cup of rooibos tea or hot miso broth in the evening to finish out the needed hydration amount for the day.
  3. I’m glad I asked here. I will relay all this to ds. It sounds like a good thing for him to try. Thanks.
  4. I hope you find out what’s going on and it does get better, Kassia.
  5. Ds went to the doctor for insomnia because it’s pretty bad. He prescribed Trazodone. I looked it up to see that it’s an anti depressant for major depressive disorder, anxiety, bi polar, etc. Ds has none of these. I know things are often prescribed off label, but this is also intended to be something you start taking, wait two weeks to see effects, and taper off under doctor guidance when stopping. It has the side effect of suicidal thoughts. Ds lives alone. The doctor was giving him instructions for using this in a random way, not as intended from what I can tell. He also walked out of the exam room and left his prescription pad lying on the counter with ds in there alone. This concerns me, and ds is taking what I’m relating to him about this seriously. He doesn’t have the healthy (or maybe not so healthy) skepticism for medical profession that I do after years of lived experiences. He, like a lot of people, just take everything they say at face value without doing their own due diligence . This is concerning me. Isn’t there something better for insomnia than an anti depressant? Update below
  6. Well….going to leave it alone and order a test. And go from there.
  7. Dh bumped the popcorn when he was cleaning the vent in the bathroom. (I warned him to be careful because we had already been down this road with our other bathroom, but I digress, lol). You bump one tiny piece off…that’s all it takes. So I tried to patch the quarter-sized area with some popcorn repair from Lowe’s. Upon closer inspection I could see that the popcorn was hanging loose from the Sheetrock in a circumference around the damage. I saw that and thought, well, this is going to have to be scraped off and painted. I flaked off one tiny incey piece and a whole bunch of already hanging popcorn began coming down. Dh is coming home today with the intention of fixing it. I don’t think he can. It’s just going to keep flaking off. I think it’s going to have to be taken off and painted. I don’t see any other way. Sigh.
  8. I agree. I would use a product like that for that purpose.
  9. I wasn’t knocking the product at all! Just the advertisements ick me out. That’s all. I’m not arguing or debating whether it works or has a purpose. I think the ads are designed to be that way….that’s her marketing strategy…and it works. It’s attention getting. 🫧🧼🫧🫧🫧
  10. Besides your local tv weather app? Do you think weather forecasting has gotten less or more accurate over the last few years? Why? Which app do you think is the most accurate?
  11. Apparently it works very well. It seems good for something I hadn’t thought of…that odor you have as you age. I think I would use something like that if it helped in that area. The ingredients are actually not a vat of toxic soup, either.
  12. Even though it seems to work well, I don’t think I’ll ever use it. When I think I need extra, I just use my tea tree oil body wash. I think it’s at least as effective.
  13. I read great reviews on the product. I just think the commercials are so gross. The new one is just…..blech. You can’t be eating anything if you’re listening to that.
  14. just make me want to barf.🤢 I said it before. I just wanted to say it again. That’s all. Irrational pet peeve? Maybe. I don’t know. If anyone else wants to talk about an irritating pet peeve, go ahead. It’s been awhile since we’ve had a pet peeve thread. Also I’m soooo tired of the rain. Update: Um……..I bought Lume today in clean tangerine scent body wash. It smells amazing. Amazing. 🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊 Now running away……🏃🏻‍♀️ PS I still don’t like the ads 😛😤 So many say Lume stinks. Don’t know about the deodorants, but the clean tangerine doesn’t stink. I can’t see how anyone would think it stinks. Ok, so now I need to try it out…..
  15. One side of my hip is smaller than the other half. I use. 4mm heel lift. Sit down in front of a mirror on a completely flat, hard surface such as a piano bench. Sit square. Do you lean when sitting? Lie on a hard floor with your knees up and feet together on the floor. Do you knees seem to have the same height? You can definitely see a difference with mine. Sit on the hard floor with your back against the wall. Press the back of your hips in close to the wall so they are even with each other. Put your feet out and align your heels. Do your legs seem to be the same length? My heels rest at points about 1/4 inch difference from hip to heel. I’m pretty sure this is why I developed a bunion. Then wearing shoes where the bunion was pushed over toward my second toe made my gait even worse. Wearing shoes that let my toes completely spread is helping a lot. Having said all this, it could also be a muscle weakness problem somewhere and not an actual structure problem. These are just things that might help you tell where it’s coming from. Edit: sorry to hijack! Just wanted to chime in on this post. Carry on.
  16. Oh, I was just curious. I wasn’t really complaining.
  17. Today I learned that hermit crabs are running out of shells in some places, from people collecting too many shells from the beach. The crabs are walking around in plastic caps and whatever they can find. Some kind soul has started a way to try to replenish and supply the crabs with shells. 🐚
  18. I don’t. I miss making up little boxes of Valentine candy for our sons. I don’t think I have any Valentine decorations at all.
  19. Ok. I can see where getting discounts of anything left on the registry would lead to making it also a wish list of sorts. It seems to be another way for businesses to get more spending out of people, but I guess if it’s things you were going to buy anyway, might as well get a discount.
  20. Ok. I see. It’s none of my business what is or isn’t on there. I had just never seen this and didn’t know if it is kinda what people do now.
  21. Someone suggested a bridal registry to check to see if someone was on there. I found it and was browsing to choose a gift to send later. Please don’t think I’m judgmental….I have a question. An honest question. This registry was full of VERY expensive items. Spode, Shun knives, complete SETS of Shun knives, and much more. I’m old and these days I literally live under a rock, so I am really out of the loop, but is this the norm these days? I got married in the 80’s where you asked for very basic things, or, really, you didn’t ask at all, you just got whatever. I know things change, but am I to assume this is just how things are now? Or are some more excessive than others? There was a fair amount of reasonably priced things, too, but the majority were super expensive.
