  1. There's a lovely garbanzo chocolate ...flourless Cake that I've seen... :)
  2. Wow... Very Cool! I think you could do it. I have no idea where you think you'll be.... I would stock up on what you are allowed to carry in... And just think of the learning experiences that you'll have! How old are your children? How will you have email access without internet? Will you have a printer? What area are you thinking of living? Answer these things and you might get even more answers :) :)
  3. Without bone in, just cook it.... and feed it cooked... then back up the cooking time a bit at a time. After a week?? they should be eating it. With my pup (ok 63 lb dog) I had to cut it up in one inch pieces first... then a bit bigger. After about a week he was eating it. Tonight, I threw in a whole chicken... he ate what he was hungry for.. and I wrapped up the rest for tomorrow. It was a 3 or 4 lb chicken.. and he less than half of it. But... that's what he wanted. I'll throw it in again tomorrow... until it's gone. (Maybe 2 or 3 days total.) The secret is... no cooked bones at all. Once they start eating raw... feed bones and all. I can't say good enough things for how raw has changed my dog's life. He's gone from a horrible coat to a beautiful one. His weight is just perfect. He's thin enough... but not too thin. No fat on him though! Anyway... it's just the best. Yes, I suppose he could somehow die... but I've met people who had their dogs die from bad dog food... or just chewing on things outside... or my friend who's dog died eating something pretty normal... (just an extra treat) :)

  5. Three cups later.... Yay... and my daughter already used it for apple cider... Yum!
  6. This is my problem. It's more fun to sit on my butt, until I'm looking for socks!
  7. I wasn't really worried before I had my first daughter. I can remember when our pastor talked about God coming back in whatever year it was back when I was 16 or so? I was worried for my relatives and friends who weren't Christians... Once I had my daughter, I was worried I would die before she would remember me, what I wanted her to know about and such... and live with her bio-dad.... and my family would be left without both of us. Of course, now that they are becoming teen age... There are even more things to worry about.... Not living as God would have them.... Boys taking advantage of them (and~or... them letting things happen) College life.... As they are leaving.... my oldest step-daughter is going to start living with her mom full time in the next few months.... (she now splits her time between her dad and mom) With that... I'm just in that spot where you wonder how that will affect things... with that bit of rejection that comes with her choosing her mom's house... There ... that's some worry... and more:)
  8. Hey Everyone, When people were talking about the Keurig, I was a tad jealous! I buy nice coffee, and I really have some each day. I usually make "6 cups" in the coffee maker and have a bit over. Our school spot is right by the kitchen, and I drink two full mugs or so. I was given the most lovely present by our homeschool group, of a Keurig. Now I'm looking at it thinking about if I can justify keeping it, since they offered I could return it. I have absolutely nothing I really need, and I love the thought of keeping it. (And no, I wouldn't ask my husband to help me decide; I'm sure he has some lovely tool he'd like......) I have an Starbuck's Espresso Maker... and a Coffee Maker... Mine has the little thing you can use in case you don't want to purchase the "K-cups". I received 76 k-cups with the maker.... and I'm not sure I'd want to continue purchasing those.... (My coffee is either the 2 lbs for $10 from Costco... or $8.00 from our local spot for 12 ounces) What do you all think??
  9. I do think it's a long day for kiddos, especially if they're not in school all day :) That being said, it can be a fun time. After the morning time, if they don't have a rest time for your kids, I think it's a great place for things like Leap pads with ear buds, or some tv with ear buds... and your child just lying next to you. I'm not saying that's officially "CC" sanctioned, just that some of the parents I've seen... do that. Then your little one can just have a "rest period" for the afternoon... and be ready to go the next day. Or, like I'm planning, your little ones can stay with grandparents? friends that you'll owe? :) If you have friends that can trade out during lunch, that'd be perfect for most kids.... Through 1pm isn't bad.... actually fun... it's the afternoon.... Just my thoughts! (by the Writing Class.... and maybe even the Geo... kids are usually fine....) :)
  10. :) Very cute!! And, yup all kids... no matter how many languages are just Darn expensive!
  11. Actually, I'm sure that it's a sentence that's meant to be corrected. (Or a mom who's nursing at the same time as typing, with a small child or two yanking on her legs...) :)
  12. No way.... I don't mess with the beans thing if there's a question...
  13. Really Sorry! There is still hope! Change can happen... Prayers...
  14. I went to look. I don't understand.... is she still alive... after the surgery? So, hopefully she'll pull through? Did she not make it into surgery? Coming all the way here... hopefully she'll make it!! :)
  15. We still use the plastic plates that have the divided spots. My 6 year old doesn't like food touching either. (As a matter of fact, neither do I!) Also, they have those "food pushers" that English... I believe... give to their children. I picked mine up at a flatware (silverware) store. You kinda "push" the food with one hand... onto the spoon or whatever.... :)
  16. Honestly, I see them at the Goodwill all the time here... probably because they are just "there". But... they're all packaged up and such... Hmmm
  17. Check to see if round or one way is better priced. Check with the airlines to see if you can purchase the unaccompanied minor part at the counter when you get there. We've always had to purchase them from the agent... :)
  18. She's going to offer her readings on MP3s on her site soon... Keep checking... she says they're going to be there!! *with no background music! :)
  19. Thanks for the secret. Perhaps it'd work for me, too!! :)
  20. Here's the funny thing... when a dog has been fed raw and regulated themselves for a while.... they can actually leave food when they're full. It takes a while... but my dog will eat and then be done. It feels great to not feel like I'm depriving him... and that he's..."just done". I'd just say that you don't want to give grains.. like wheat from the table... no corn... and some other not good for them food... But... the raw food has been the nest for us! (and less $$, too!) :)
