We’ve been out of the puppy years for a long time (our dog was 15 when he passed away in December) so I need help compiling ing a list of what is needed for a puppy. We’d be starting from scratch. One of the dogs we are hoping to meet is a 2 month old whippet/collie mix with short hair.

My dh says it has superior temperature control. The ceramic retains heat much better than the thin metal of other grills.

My husband has a Big Green Egg and it has proven to be a wonderful purchase. We got a good deal buying it at the local Ace as they included many accessories. He finally has a hobby that makes him happy and I get great food out of the deal. It was the one piece of furniture we were most worried about making it intact to Hawaii but it came through beautifully.

Vasogal syncope probably saved my son’s life. Aparently if you faint in triage when 9 months pregnant they admit you even though they were in the process of sending me home saying he wasn’t ready. They discovered he had low fluid, cord around neck, and his heart rate would drop. He was safely born 8 hours later.

At our house closed cationing is on all the time so subtitles are not a problem for me.

We are living in Hawaii at present. We’ve had a few good days of rain so all sorts of creatures are coming out. Luckily I’ve not encountered centipedes yet. We do have a (non-pet) lizard or two that live in the house.

Does anyone have good links to learn about snails? This guy was near our back patio today and after spending a lot of time watching him, we want to learn more.

It gets even more fun when you are shipping to Hawaii. All normal shipping maths don’t apply.

My childrern are a bit younger but the emergency vet gave them each a book to write memories of Rupert. If you think it won’t cause more distress to your son, maybe suggest he write down some happy memories. (I cried just writing that. It sneaks up sometimes)

It is so hard. We had a 15 year-old Beagle who collapsed Christmas Day. That evening at the emergency vet we said goodbye. He had been declining for some time and I wish we had taken action sooner. I know it will impact our holidays this year.

I’m making purees to add to ds’s food. Today I was doing sweet potatoes. I roasted them, scooped out the insides, and put them in the food processor. I ended up with a gummy mess! Should I have added liquid? Would sweet potatoes (not yams if it makes a difference) with heavy cream mixed in freeze well?

I’m not good at wording but I would bring up that nothing in the class description indicated that there would be an audition and that dd was hoping it would be a gentle introduction to theater and was not ready to be thrown in the deep end. My dds have done classes that work as auditions first class and full performance of a play 12 weeks later but we were given audition information 2 weeks in advance and the instructor had no children so was more impartial.

What I heard today....photo recreation...original was super funny but in the middle of Mass. We got leis as visitors at Mass. DS was trying to hear the ocean in the shells. The funny part is DS is deaf. He was holding the shell to his ear and not his cochlear implant processor so even if there had been a sound he wouldn’t have heard it.

New- a new to us beachchair that someone finishing their vacation gave to us yesterday.

I have a migraine side effect where my scalp feels sunburned. It usually lasts for several days. I’ve also had the finger and face numbness due to a nerve being pressd on my very tense muscles in the shoulder area. That was accompanied by a migraine since mine are typically stress triggered.
