Denisemomof4
now I've really lived life. Boy does their spit smell!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've had them six years, been spat on twice. First time I was stupid enough to try to break up a fight (before church and all dressed up :o ) and today the llamas were fighting each other to get at the grain. I was in front of them all. Just thought I'd share. I know you're all jealous of me. Get over yourself. :D

Denise in Florida
Thanks, that made my day. :grouphug: I always seem to be the one in our family that the pets, lick, drip and drool on. Today, a cat drooled on my neck while I was sleeping and the horse flicked a blob of froth on my shirt. At least the cat and horse spit don't smell bad. Caitilin
Well, it doesn't stink, but I have been bitten by an ostrich. Twice. :glare: Different ostriches. Don't ask.
Carol in Cal.
Human hair. Right off people's heads. Little people, whose heads are the right height for easy grazing. As my DD, then 5, found out to her sorrow.

Caitilin
Apparently I am super attractive to ostriches, to the extent that if my hand is sitting on the railing surrounding the ostrich enclosure at the zoo, the ostrich is irresistibly drawn to taste the hand in question. Or to the extent that I am merely leaning on the enclosure surrounding the ostriches, and one thinks the top of my head looks like a lovely mid-morning snack. Why? I have never offended an ostrich, that I know of...they must be out to get me. ;)
Carol in Cal.
Ewwwww....... Poor little girl! Yuck! (Is it very *efficient* at eating hair?) Well, it certainly was very efficient at getting that first bite! (and then we pulled back out of range.)
katemary63
I had a llama but sold him. His personality wasn't right for our petting zoo barnyard. However, I would like to get another one or two. He did spit on my once when I wouldn't give him his grain fast enough, but it wasn't a stomach spit, just clear stuff. Bad enough!
