We were pleasantly surprised this afternoon by this new arrival at our barn.

Maybe everyone could arrive in their work duds and help us clean out the barn? We intended to clean out the stalls the first week of spring, but we've had this horrid bug and haven't gotten to it.

We could share the sheep....anyone in the market for a "green" lawn mower?

Funny, we have several does. They all had their babies this year except 2. We decided since they didn't produce, we would give them away ( actually back to the guy who gave them to us - long story) We were positive they were not pregnant, all the other does had theirs and it had been 6 weeks. Well, 1 week after we gave them back, they both had kids!

We've concluded that our buck, who was a bit young last fall, was probably to short when we put him in with the does to "get" these 2. They are both quite a bit taller then the others. By the time we took him out of the doe pen, he had grown and become more proficient at his job. So they were just several weeks later then the others. Oh well, our loss, his gain!

You must have felt awful. Our little buck, Pippin, just turned one a week ago, so he was very young and rather "vertically challenged" last October. Poppy is three and this is her first kid. We have two more does that we are looking suspiciously at. I had congratulated the dc on how well they had kept the animals tended through the cold winter....they are all nice and filled out :D We may be in for more surprises in the coming weeks.
