kellycbr
In Cool Creamy Strawberry, yum..... I'm sucking on one right now. Its made with pectin so it doesn't make you feel sick like too much menthol can do. Hope you feel better. Oh, and I also like Ludens Licorice. athena1277
I forget the brand, but I like the ones with the drop of honey in the middle. BTW, honey helps with cough. I put some on a spoon and give to dd when she gets to coughing bad.
Spy Car
I like Ricola too. Something else you might try, if you can abide the taste of ginger, is to place a thin slice of fresh ginger root on your tongue, and just let the ginger/saliva flow bathe your throat for an extended period. Ginger has both antiseptic and analgesic qualities, so if your throat is getting inflamed it might help. And fresh ginger is easy to find in Hawaii. I have made fresh ginger tea daily to fight this sickness and I'm the only one in the family to avoid it...so far. If I could only talk my dh into drinking it. Maybe I'll bring a thermos of some with a heavy dose of honey to the event tonight- perhaps he'll be just desperate enough. ;)
Tree House Academy
I like Cepacol throat numbing losenges. Not only does it help with cough, it kinda numbs a sore throat too...and the lemon-lime flavor is actually not half bad.

Have you tried the ginger slice as a "lozenge"? What's nice before bed is to gently warm (but not boil) some red wine, add honey, and a good squeeze of lemon juice. And drink in one long drink. Or several. Right before a talk? Could be interesting :D Bill
whitestavern
I have the best luck with Hall's mentholyptus; any flavor works.
MommyX8
Make sure that whatever you use is sugar-free. I had a bad cough that lasted for months. I ended up with 5 cavities from the sugar sitting next to my teeth.
