FO4UR
I splurged on the Rightstart Math Games. My dc love it! This is much more fun than plain flash cards and timed drills!!!! Where was this when I was in elementary school?:tongue_smilie: Just had to share with someone who might share my joy:001_smile:
Karen sn
We just played this today as well and I like it.
PenKase
My dd got her facts nailed down in no time playing this game! I do consider RS a splurge but it's absolutely amazing!!
King Alfred Academy
We love the games in RS and I agree that it is totally worth the money. My ds 5 started playing the games with his brother last year and now he is doing mental addition up to 100! I believe it is due to him playing these games. Wait til you get to the corner game. We love that one!
Tonia
My dd loves Go to the Dump too. She learned her addition facts so quickly playing that game.
Aurelia
Ariel LOVES "Go to the Dump." We play every other day, usually, and she is definitely learning her sums of 10 with it, she's actually gotten to the point now where she says she doesn't need the abacus, because she knows which numbers pair up. It just sounds funny because when I tell her it's time to do her school work, she pops up with "Can we go to the dump?!" and asked DH "Will you go to the dump with me today?" You would think we go dumpster diving all the time. :tongue_smilie: RS is totally worth the expense. I never figured I would have a child so excited about math. I hope your kids enjoy the other games, as well. :001_smile:
krisp
Yep, we loved that one here too. Still do ;) I would recommend the card games kit for people who don't do RS, just as an "extra reinforcement".
mamaofredheads
We love the RS games too. I purchased them when someone here posted about them being on sale just before Christmas. They are a supplement for us. I highly recommend them as well. Glenna
Amanda_Jo
Go to the Dump has become my daughters favorite game as well! We're doing Rightstart A, but I just got the card games book to use over the summer with my girls. Can't wait to find more games to play with her! Terabith
Not only does Anna love Go to the Dump, but *I* like it too!!!! I can't tell you how nice that is, after playing those awful games I've hated for so long. (I just really don't enjoy playing Candyland or Chutes and Ladders or even Hi Ho Cheerio. Nothing wrong with the games. I just really don't enjoy them. Sorta like I don't like playing house....) It's so refreshing to have a game we both think is fun, and any math fact fluency that develops is sheer gravy. Though it's being very effective at that too. Nestof3
Okay -- we will play the games this week. I have not even opened up my card packs yet. Will someone just give me the "worst homeschooling mom of the year award?" We will be cramming our school now that our renovations are through.
