Miss Peregrine
My kids must be aliens. Moon sand made a big mess in our house, so we got rid of it! Yep. Mine made up different words to the song. They would sing, "Moon Sand, Moon Sand, sand that makes a mess."

Nestof3
My boys really like it too. You can buy refill sand at AC Moore and Michaels with coupons. They also have a lot of it at Target.
Tiramisu
Moon sand has changed our lives. The kids are never bored. I put it in an under bed storage bin and keep it on our kitchen floor. I could see other people going nuts with the mess, but it has especially helped my busy 6 yo and 3 yo stay busy when we're stuch inside this winter. Guest Virginia Dawn
My 4yo spends hours playing with moon sand, but we've always got a mess afterwards. How do you do it?
Chris in VA
We use it at preschool. The trick is to keep the sand in a container, and place THAT container in another, bigger one. Also, teach your kids to sweep. For us, it's not a table top item but rather a bin item (at home, a floor item as the PP said). We are always saying, "Sand stays in the bin. Sand stays low" and things like that! Our favorite bin is a 2x3 under-the-bed plastic box. I like very little plastic in my play areas, but I'm fine with this one. abbeyej
Yep, my kids had great fun with it, and I've even used it in class (as part of an "archaeological dig"). I'm not sure what the difference is, why some of us find it easy to deal with, and others think it's a huge mess...
