I have always wanted TEA much less frequently when under a lot of stress. Since I tend to want TEA less frequently than dh under normal circumstances, when we're under stress, it's even more of a problem. Dh, on the other hand, wants TEA just as much, if not more, when we're stressed.

Just wondering about other folks. Any advice? Sympathy?

I drink a lot of tea (the stuff that comes in bags and is drunk with milk and sugar) and answered your poll based on that assumption. I did wonder why the poll but if you love tea (yes the drink) as much as I do it did not seem too odd.

I am now laughing at myself.

FYI, making tea solo (or undergoing a tea treatment from the spouse) can alleviate stress and even get rid of headaches. Of course, it's almost like exercise at that point (I know it'll help, but I don't wanna!). The release of happy hormones/chemicals in your brain (from the tea), helps you cope.

We still have our regularly scheduled tea, regardless of whether we 'want to' at the time. So, I answered that it doesn't effect our tea consumption. We may not 'want' to, but we do it anyway.

"Do you let Dh get to second base if he didn't complete his chores?"

I do understand that thing about filters, though. I used to think that WTM women were really immature to write "bre@sts" instead of just spelling it out, but then I was educated about the whole filter thing.

Anyway, OP, I think that s@x is a pretty good stress reliever. I usually don't feel like it when I am stressed out, and then afterwards, I wonder why I felt that way because it inevitably makes everything seem much better.

So, pqr, do you drink more tea (milk and sugar variety) or less depending on stress?

Seriously, you don't need to answer the question. :001_smile:

Really all of the above apply to us. DH was stressed out working a lot of hours and did not want TEA. I get stressed out and feel that TEA takes too much time/energy and I need to fulfill my responsibilities.

Having good TEA does reduce stress and definitely helps the relationship, so I usually go ahead and try it. Maybe 1 out of 10 times I will tell DH no tea! He is wanting it more when he is stressed now.

I guess it depends on the reason for the stress, body chemistry, etc. It seems to go in cycles for us.

I suggest that you work on making TEA more fun for you. That should help in any case.

And, some people *look* for s*x everywhere, and google the word, and might be led here.

Then what? If someone is on the prowl for porn and ends up here, do you think he'll change his mind and indulge in a little homeschool conversation instead?

:001_huh:

I imagine he'd just move on to what he was actually looking for.

Besides, Google the word sex, and I doubt the Well Trained Mind forum comes up anywhere near the top of the list.
