The little bit of research I have done is not completely agreeing that dairy contributes to inflammation in the body, but yet, I understand that it does.  Does anyone have legitimate links that will help me to navigate this issue please.  I am not committed to one outcome or the other just want better understanding of what I should look for in my own body in regards to inflammation and the science/reasoning/health behind it.

It can depend upon the cause of the inflammation.

My dr thinks (we're hopeful) the majority of my inflammation is based in the EBV, for which I am now being treated.  Because of the way it works - it will use dairy - and a host of other things, to cause inflammation.

other's can have dairy and be unaffected.

I don't have any links, but my chiropractor told me this years ago (with respect to mature adults, at least).  I quit drinking milk with meals, and that really helped!  Good luck with your research.

This is a REALLY open-ended question.

How do you measure inflammation?

Do you think that every single person responds to dairy the same way? (IE--it is flatly inflammatory, or it is not)

Do you think that if dairy causes a reaction in a given person's body, it will always cause the same reaction?

Why might they respond differently?

I can tell you personally, as a person who has specific inflammatory markers checked via bloodwork regularly because of rheumatoid arthritis, my serum levels don't change whether I am on dairy or not. (I went dairy free, had them rechecked, saw no change).

I can also tell you that I have some measure of dairy intolerance.  I become gassier and have acid reflux when I have more than trace amounts of dairy. This was not the case 10 years ago.  I suspect that I am becoming lactose intolerant, as many people do beginning in their 40s.  Among my children, half are lactose intolerant, half are not. They do not have the same reactions.....similar, but different gene expressions, different gut biomes, etc.

For those in my family who are not ALLERGIC to dairy (measured by an IgA response), I am hesitant to go off of all dairy.  If you've ever eaten completely casein-free, you'll realize how very restrictive it is.  We mostly limit our dairy consumption to lactose free dairy (ghee, organic LF milk, etc.).

You've had a series of posts where you're wanting black and white answers on a lot of questions---cooking pans, diet, etc.  I understand, generally, why people ask these questions.....but I think if you're going to find helpful, personal answers, you might find it helpful to ask deeper questions.  I tried to model a few of those above.
