stephanier.1765
Today, I left behind 2 bags on the Walmart carousel. Probably because at the same time the cashier spun it around, he placed two large things on top and those were the things I grabbed. By time time I realized and was back at the store, only an hour had passed and in that hour they had put the things I paid for back on the shelf. One of those items was a spray bottle of Clorox disinfectant which, of course, was sold before I could get back. I was furious. Just because I left the bag behind doesn't make what was inside any more theirs than if I had left my purse behind. Once the transaction is complete those items belong to me. I'm still fuming two hours later. They gave me back the $3.50 but that doesn't do me any good. I still don't have that disinfectant. 🤬
ThisIsTheDay
Yes, your paid items should have been held for you. The same thing has happened at Kroger. These stores have a "pick up" option, there's no reason they couldn't have held the items there for you. I'm sorry. It stinks to lose something that is so precious right now too.
Farrar
I hate those bag carousels. We don't have them at our stores and I swear every time I'm at a Wal-Mart (which is rare, but occasionally...) I end up leaving something because of their cruddy design for consumers.
PeachyDoodle
I hate those carousels too. I always make a point of asking the cashier if I got all my bags because I inevitably miss one. I'm sorry they didn't hold your purchase. That sucks. Could you ask that they reserve one for you on the next delivery?
Selkie
I'd be mad, too! That has happened to me before at both Walmart and Target. I like using the self-checkouts so I can bag my own things and make sure they actually end up in my cart!
