lulalu
I have the 2nd edition of WTM. Is it worth it to have the 1st edition? I could get it for free. Is there a lot of changes between 1st and 2nd? Or is it too outdated by now?
Slache
The first edition has much more how to type of stuff. Definitely get it.
El...
I like having the older ones ( in addition to the new one... I have a bookshelf capacity problem, obviously). The book lists are slightly different, and sometimes my library has more of the older books. 1
HomeAgain
I had the 4th after losing my original book years ago. I found a 1st copy at the bookstore and snagged it, giving up my 4th edition instead. I really like how much more basic it is - there are less curriculum options, it feels like, and less "use these" but more 'this is how'. The only thing I have found outdated are the curriculum lists, but we never used those anyhow so it didn't matter.
knitgrl
Hunter, who I haven't seen on the forum in a long time, said she really liked how the 1st edition discussed writing.
mumto2
The first edition is my favorite and is the one I will keep. More basic in terms of how to and easier to use imo.

I was even looking around to see if my library still had the 1st edition.
