SunshineMom
I would like to find a writing tutor/teacher for my dd15 next year, rising sophomore. She has had three years of high school English & Composition, however next year I would like her to focus more on research writing. She has scored very well on research papers she has completed for her science courses. Bravewriter has a research class but we are on vacation during the class. Any suggestions? I would like more of a tutor online, student lead project/assignments with heavy feedback type situation. I am hoping to delay her starting at the community college until her junior year. Thoughts? Ideas?
LAR
Give Ms Eva at opententacademy.com a try. She's very willing to work with homeschool families to address specific writing needs. Perhaps she can help.
Matryoshka
Look to see if Mr. Lux would work for you. We used him for something like this when he worked for WriteGuide (now defunct). https://luxwritingcenter.com
Lilaclady
Memorial press offers a senior thesis class but it’s for 11th and 12th graders https://www.memoriapressacademy.com/catalog?pagename=thesis-by-subject
Nam2001
I recently saw that Schole Academy has a tutoring service. Not the cheapest option but it looks great for personalized attention and help on a particular thing. Writing is one option. https://www.scholeacademy.com/tutoring-center/
daijobu
Mary at Chase Hill School is excellent for this. She is an English PhD, and taught both of my daughters research writing loosely using MCT's curriculum. My dd's met her weekly by skype.
