mamakelly
I know this is the time of year when there are crazy school supply sales, and sometimes we get awesome paper sales. Has anyone seen a good paper sale?
Erica in OR
Staples has been having them for the past few weeks through their Staples Easy Rebate. You need to pay the usual price up front for the paper, but after you do the rebate, Staples sends you a prepaid Visa card that you can use at any store (not just Staples) for most of the money back. They have been doing it with 4-ream boxes of printer paper and also 750-sheet packs of paper. You can buy up to three of each for the rebate. Amy in NH
It took 6-9 months and multiple customer service contacts to get my Staples rebate card last time.
Ali in OR
I usually find cheaper paper at Target in the back to school supplies. I know this year's package was more than a ream--maybe 800 pages? Maybe $5? I'm not crazy about rebate deals--I want to pay less when I buy it.
Guest
Costco had a mega-ream (like 800 sheets) for $4 or something. I got two.
heartlikealion
I did the Staples rebate last year, but this year the out of pocket expense seemed higher. I don't know if I was looking at the exact same box, but last time I think I literally spent about $5 when it was all said and done. I still have paper left over so I'm not in dire need. JudoMom
Staples runs the paper rebates throughout the year, in my experience. I bought some last year at Thanksgiving (a case for $10 after rebate) and a couple of weeks later 5 reams for $5 after rebate. I've seen them since then, too. JudoMom
It took 6-9 months and multiple customer service contacts to get my Staples rebate card last time. That stinks! I've done so many of the rebates over the years and never have had an issue, but I know one of my friends had trouble.
Cinder
Dh has done the Staples rebate thing. It didn't take 6 months--probably about 6 weeks, I think--but he said it was such a hassle to get all the info submitted. This was a few years ago so possibly things are easier now. Anyway, since then we've just bought paper by the case from Walmart--10 reams for $25. It's only 88 brightness but that's good enough for us.
