Jean in Newcastle
I'm having the same problem here. A picture of some heather?! Do either of you have a favorite hobby, pet, cause, picture of you when you were 4 years old (that's mine!) ??

LG Gone Wild
Since you've "gone wild" maybe a wild animal of some kind? My inspiration came from the commercials for that series of s#x videos. They were so gross and outrageous, they made me laugh.
Laura K (NC)
I did a quick search. I used "wild" and, taking a long shot, tried "elegy" because it sounded like LG. I came up with the following... Some pretty sunflowers and still lifes Nice black-and-white shot of a nature scene -- grass, sun When I Google-image searched "LB" + "wild" I got this one, which I love. But it might be too close to Jane in NC's avatar for your liking. Here's a racier site from the same google image search. There's an image there of a pirate flag that says "Wenches gone wild." LOL. Do you have a favorite TV character from childhood? A favorite color? A favorite comic book? A favorite flower? Favorite saying? Google image searches are your friend (as long as you have the right filters in place! :Angel_anim: I got my avatar and my profile image from a google image search "mean" + "teacher." Some raunchy stuff turned up, but I liked these.
sleepy
If you Google "avatar" you'll find lots of options. I got my avatar from Face Your Manga. Can't wait to see what you come up with! :D
Mrs Mungo
I made mine from a webcam I took of myself when my hubby was deployed the second time. I have a matching one of me holding a cupcake. I took them to show him my dinner. Hee hee. Since Mike's is the unofficial drink of TWTM board, I use the Mike's one as my avatar. Mrs Mungo
I need an avatar too. But I have no idea how to do it! Anyone care to educate me? There are lots of places you can download them or make cartoon ones. http://www.dressupgames.com/avatars.html (this lists a bunch of them) http://www.franksicons.com/ There are also sites where you can upload your pic and it will resize it to the proper size for you like this one: http://www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar/ If you want to make your own avatars then I suggest downloading gimp: http://www.gimp.org/ it is a free graphics program and is reasonably easy to use. PameliaSue
If you want to use a picture of yourself you can make it small enough with www.photobucket.com

I found an image that I like at www.avatarist.com, but I can't figure out how to make it my avatar. I clicked on it, got a url, copied that, went to my user control panel, then to edit profile picture, copied the url into the space for option 1, but was given an 'invalid file' message. What am I doing wrong?

It's not animated, but I'll look for another one. Thanks.
mazakaal
Okay, I give up. I'm just going to have to be avatar-less. I just wanted a photo of some wildflowers. I checked the avatar websites that I found from googling, but had no joy. Then I just did a google image search for wildflowers and found lots of pretty pictures, but none of them worked. I even opened an account with photobucket, downloaded one of the wildflower pictures, resized and cropped it so it was nice and small, and it still didn't work. I got 'invalid file name' on that one. AAAAARGH! I'm just not computer savy. :crying:
Jean in Newcastle
Do you have an 11 year old son? That is who I got to figure out my avatar!
Laura K (NC)
Lessee... Go to control panel, Edit avatar, and then... hmm... I'm on a Mac, so I don't know if it would be different for different computers. I usually click on the picture I like and drag it onto the field marked "Option 1 - Enter the URL to the Image on Another Website," and then "Save Changes." You could also right click on it, copy, and then paste it in that field. That didn't work for me once, so maybe you can right-click on top of the image to save it, and then upload it from your computer with the "choose file" button. Clear as mud? :)
