JennyL
Hello. I am looking for some suggestions. I have "Let's Read and Find Out About Science Book, Down Comes the Rain." I would love some other options. My boys are in 2nd and K. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

Laura in STL
I just read Cloud Dance by Thomas Locker with my dd6. It has lovely paintings on each page with a small amount of text describing the clouds. There is a page at the end with some scientific information and a diagram of cloud varieties. It's a nice combination of art and science.
KathyBC
We liked the Thomas Locker book, too! Just lovely. A science book series we enjoyed from our library was Exploring the Elements by Etta Kaner, with the following titles: Who Likes the Rain? Who Likes the Snow? Who Likes the Sun? Who Likes the Wind? Alice
We just finished a weather unit with a co-op preschool I do. (It's actually only three families but "co-op" sounds so much more fancy.) The kids are 4 and 5. Some we liked: The Cloud Book by Tomie dePaola (excellent book) Weather Words and What they Mean by Gail Gibbons For fun: A Time of Wonder by Robert McCloskey (not strictly just about weather but great description of a hurricane) The Little Cloud by Eric Carle Cloudland by John Burningham Police Cloud by Christopher Niemann The Storm Book by Charlotte Zolotow
Miss Sherry
I like the little book by Usborne "What Makes It Rain ?" http://www.amazon.com/Makes-Usborne-Starting-Point-Science/dp/0746002742 I second "The Little Cloud" by Eric Carle. It's adorable.

NancyinCA
My kids really enjoyed that same "Let's Read and Find Out...Down Comes the Rain." I purchased that book along with some other weather themed books in a bundle from that series from Rainbow Resource. :)
