TCoppock
I would like to find a 4th grade reading list somewhere or possibly compile my own. I usually just use Sonlights but this year not even half of the books are at our local library. Being that we are on one income now things are really tight so if at all possible I would like to utilize my library. Does anyone know of a website that has a list already or want to throw out suggestions of books? :001_smile:
TundraAcademy
I'm not sure if you are looking for read-alouds or readers for your 4th grader. My son is reading the Matt Christopher series for fun. He also is going to start the Great Brain series by John Fitzgerald. We just got done reading the Penderwicks and the Misadventures of Maude March as a family. There is also a sequel to the Penderwicks out now. All are highly recommended! PeterPan
VP has good lists (see their printed or online catalogs), and you can use the read alouds from earlier cores of SL as readers for older students.
TCoppock
I wanted to thank everyone who answered. Although I don't have as much time as I would like to browse the boards, I love it here. I am always shocked at just how much homeschool information is on the web that I have yet to discover. I do this and then check to see if our library has the book.
Marty
This is from Old Fashioned Education. In addition to the reading list (scroll down), lots of this stuff is free. http://oldfashionededucation.com/4thgrade.htm For others, go to http://oldfashionededucation.com/ Click on Full Curriculum on the left, then click on the grade. Liz Mc in SC
I don't know if this will help you but often if I can't find a title at the library I can find it at the "The Baldwin Project." It's not a good as having the book but it's free. http://www.mainlesson.com/showbooksbytitle.php
