Sometimes it is just comforting to know that the ups and downs of the journey you're on is shared by others in some ways. I'm reaching out for some help regarding book recommendations for my 9.5yr old daughter, who I'm homeschooling here in Australia. Here are some of the books she's loved in the past year: Series: Percy Jackson Heroes of Olympus A Series of Unfortunate Events All the Wrong Questions Secret series Theodore Boone Diary of a Wimpy Kid Mysterious Benedict Society 39 Clues Lemonade War Stand alone books: Out of my Mind London Eye Mystery Rules From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs Basil E. Frankweiler She loves a range of styles, clearly. My issue is keeping the great books coming and finding books that aren't too 'old' for a 9yr old. Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh Has she read the Little House books? Dd hasn't read the last few because it's all about Laura and Almanzo dating...
