Laura Corin
That's more risk than I want to take on when I wobble out of an Asana: http://sandiegopaddleyoga.com/event/25-full-moon-glow-yoga/
Stratford
I will never be that amazing. DH and I tried SUP earlier this month and it was great fun. However, just getting into a standing position on the board was pretty (extremely) tricky. And what would you do if you're standing on your head and a boat cruises by and leaves a decent wake behind? I shudder to think.
Laura Corin
My niece, who was planning on doing it, is in the US army and is incredibly fit. If anyone has the core strength to master that kind of stability, she does.
Pawz4me
There's a class here on Saturday mornings on a nearby lake. I've seen it on TV. That's a close as I'm likely to come. ;)
MEmama
It's popular here. We have a lot of ponds without motorboats, though--I'd never thought of that! Lol
Cindy in FL.
We have a stand up paddle board shop and have run Pilates classes before. Most of The folks that signed up hadn't even paddle boarded before, but they did well and enjoyed it. I think it sounds and looks more difficult than it actually is. We had our classes near a local park where boat traffic was restricted.
flyingiguana
I saw a class on the lake this summer. The instructor was doing all these incredible moves. The students were staying much closer to the board and looking pretty doubtful. But, it seems to be kind of a new thing. It's always hard to look like the instructor when you're first starting out. If it were me, I'd do the yoga on the shore and then go out for a paddle. Because I know I'd just fall in. Even in the core fit class in the gym I've been known to fall over. But maybe there are fewer mosquitos out on the lake (?) and it's a way to be outside without being drained of blood.
