AimeeM
I have Milo Winters book in my Amazon cart, but I wanted to make sure there weren't any other versions that I am overlooking :)
Slache
It's in my cart too, if that helps. I'm pretty sure it's the one AO recommends so it can't be terrible.
Jackie
I prefer the Jerry Pinkney version myself. http://www.amazon.com/Aesops-Fables-Jerry-Pinkney/dp/1587170000/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1434719203&sr=8-1&keywords=Aesop+Pinkney
arliemaria
I have Milo Winter, but want the Jerry Pinkney version too. I love his illustrations. We have a few of his picture books including The Lion and The Mouse. http://www.amazon.com/Lion-Mouse-Jerry-Pinkney/dp/0316013560/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1434724231&sr=8-2&keywords=The+Lion+and+the+Mouse So if you wanted you could get a volume of all of them (Winter) and then pick up some individual titles for select fables later. 73349
We are happy with the Milo Winter version.

AimeeM
http://www.rfwp.com/series/aesops-fables-books-about-reading-writing-thinking I've looked at that :) It's VERY nice. Unfortunately my boy isn't *there* yet - while progressing nicely otherwise, he still isn't writing much at all (as in, can barely form letters and shapes), so we're waiting another year before trying it. Mystie
I prefer the Pinkney one. The Milo Winters one is good, but for some reason my own kids have all (all four!) had comprehension problems with the Milo Winters version, whereas they don't with the Pinkney (same one as linked above) or Dan Daily (http://amzn.to/1IoZz5s) collections. arliemaria
Here is another one I just came across: http://www.amazon.com/Unwitting-Wisdom-Anthology-Aesops-Fables/dp/0811844501/?qid=1331390876&s=books&ref=sr_1_1&ie=UTF8&sr=1-
Sally Day
We have all loved the Milo Winters one. The boys often pick it off the shelf.
eternallytired
Only 15 fables in it, but I LOVE Brad Sneed's illustrations! I have another version with more fables (can't remember which right now...really memorable), but we definitely like this one better for the pictures. (I just wish it had a few more in there--like the actual story of the tortoise and the hare and not just a picture!)
ElizabethB
We liked this one, comes with a CD, great pictures. http://www.amazon.com/Aesops-Fables-Children-Read---Listen/dp/B00DEKQKJS/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1435104353&sr=1-2&keywords=aesop+milo+winter+cd
