Jean in Newcastle
I love the projects on DIY.org. They give me ideas. But they don't want adults posting their own projects on their own (though kids are allowed to share something their parent did). I can understand that. In fact that is one reason why I'm not doing the projects alongside dd right now. It would discourage her and lead her to disparage her own beautiful work simply because I have age and treachery on my side. But I want to share cool stuff. And to get badges!
Arcadia
How about Instructables? No badges to earn but you can post what you make and how to make it. http://www.instructables.com/
The Girls' Mom
I've wished for an adult version since DIY.org came out. I signed up for the newsletter and it constantly taunts me with new projects and badges

I signed up for the newsletter and it constantly taunts me with new projects and badges  If I were young and energetic I would design one myself and put it out there! But alas. . . .
kirstenhill
So glad to know I'm not the only grown up wanting a version of DIY.org for adults. :-) I think that would be super fun too!
pitterpatter
What can't they just make separate photo albums for adults? Do they not want kids looking at them for ideas?

A lot of the main examples for things were obviously done by an adult.
pitterpatter
That's what I was thinking, as I didn't even know if was for kids only before this thread. I don't know. A lot of the main examples for things were obviously done by an adult.
Farrar
It's the gamification aspect that really makes it. There should be one.
