susanah4
My daughter is interested in plants and wants to learn more. She is a very hands on learner so if we go the textbook route I would want something colorful/easy to read. Any ideas?

Rosie_0801
You don't have any permaculture courses or something like that locally?

Sebastian (a lady)
The link above is to a discussion of a botany course designed by a board member. It uses Botany for Dummies as the spine and adds a lot of other books that may be at your library. It's worth taking a look at.

I'm the one who made the botany course linked above. :-) Let me know if you have any questions about it...
cbollin
CLE has an agri science elective. They use Exploring Agriscience, Fourth Edition (©2011), by Ray V Herren. and they add their lightunits to it (haven't used this course, by the way.... just know it's there). But if you prefer, you can use just the text. take a look on amazon or other favorite seller for isbn 978-1435439665. As an agri science text, it covers plants and livestock and animal treatment.
