OhioMomof3
Just wondering... Do you round grades up or down to the nearest percentage point (see example 1), or do you round all scores down (see example 2)? Example 1: 98.49% would become 98%, while 98.50% would become 99% Example 2: 98.09%, 98.49%, 98.99% would all be 98%.
EKS
I round graded work to the nearest tenth, and for the final grade I round to the nearest whole number. Up or down as appropriate. Teachers who always round down are idiots.

Pam L in Mid Tenn
Depends on the effort. I give an E for effort. :) If my student has done his best, I'll round up. If he has piddled and done a half bottomed effort, I'll round down.
Cosmos
What does it matter? Wouldn't any of them come out to an A on the transcript? I guess if it's near the grade cut-off, say 93.48 and your cut-off is 94 for an A, then it could be tricky. Is that what the situation is? If you are talking about individual assignment grades, then I wouldn't round at all. In that case, I would just put the score (say 37 points out of 39 possible) into my spreadsheet and compute the final weighted average using the unrounded number (however I have chosen my grading scheme) and then round just the final score. mom31257
Yes, I wanted whole number averages on the transcript.
