mom31257 Posted February 11, 2015 Share Posted February 11, 2015 Some of you will remember the discussion about special education and my dh's new job in it. He is getting a better handle on all the paperwork. He met with the county special ed director last week, and despite her being known as hard-lined and a fault-finder, she was pleased with what he was doing. He really enjoys teaching his students. They are fun to be with and have great attitudes, and he hopes he can make a difference for them. Despite him never thinking he was detailed enough to be a good paperwork person, he feels that if can continue doing well with it, he would want to stay in special education. The school is sending him to 5 days of training next month. He's got to pass the GACE tests for special ed, but he's a very good test taker. He scored highest on Georgia History in his certification testing when we came into the state, and he's never studied it.
