Paige
I bought some leggings because they were on sale and cute, but I have nothing to wear with them. I've looked at all my tops and nothing is right. My DDs wear leggings daily with dresses and tunics and seem really comfy all the time, but I don't think their styles would be right for me! What do you wear as a top with your leggings if you don't want to wear a dress? And shoes w/ leggings and yoga pants? I don't have any Ugg-like boots and don't really feel like getting any. If you have links to pictures, that would be helpful. I'm 99% positive I don't want to just let my butt hang out in a short/regular top w/leggings, but I'm having a hard time picturing what I do want. I have one nice, comfortable longer shirt that is kind of fitted through the hips that is probably a good style match but the colors won't go with my leggings. MEmama
I wear them with dresses and skirts. Tall boots in winter, sneakers or mary janes in summer. I would never wear them out of the house on their own; to me, it would look like you forgot to finish getting dressed (unless you were going for a run). xixstar
Wear with tall boots and with tops that cover my bottom, so tunic length tops. Though I found that with short enough tops, I made a mini-skirt that added just another inch or two of coverage to feel more comfortable. Way shorter skirt than I would ever wear with tights or alone but acceptable with leggings.
MiMi 4under3
Leggings look best with thigh length tops, whether they're sweatshirts, sweaters, or long tunic style shirts. It's not the bottom I worry about covering, but the front area - which sometimes looks awkward when the legging fabric creases a certain way, KWIM?
QueenCat
Something loose but NOT too loose is good. Covering the rear.... but remember that too baggy makes you look wider in the rear.
