Jeannie in NJ
first of all for dinner, dd's boyfriend made chicken parm but he made me some chicken breast baked in olive oil but with no breading, he did put cheese on it. It was tasty and for dessert they made my ice cream with fresh strawberries , vanilla, heavy cream and stevia. It was yummy. They made theirs the same except they put a ton more stevia in theirs as they like theirs super sweet. They are good young adults.

Ravin
And here I was expecting to hear how they got the recipe wrong, because nothing to sweeten ice cream...wouldn't come out so good! Sounds like a great evening with some great kids!
Jackie
Sounds great! When I had to give up sugar, one of the best suggestions someone made was to buy an ice cream maker and some Splenda.

Jeannie in NJ
mom-ninja, dd has a ninja blender that makes up ice really, really fine. to this her and her boyfriend added fresh strawberries, a cup of heavy cream and stevia to taste. also a bit of vanilla, don't know how much. it came out about as thick as full fat really thick greek yogurt. they also froze some to see if it comes out more like actual ice cream but we have not checked that out yet.
