Books like Magic Tree House

The Magic Tree House books are perfect for my ds(7), both for reading level and story content. But after reading quite a few he's starting to get bored. Any suggestions for books at a similar level, about the same length, that will appeal to a little boy? Please nothing along the lines of Junie B Jones. Thanks!

Focus on the Family's Odyssey of the Mind: Imagination Station series has been great for my 7yo. They're easy to find with reviews on Amazon. We also picked up a few at our local Christian Bookstore.

Magic Treehouse is apparently losing its magic for my ds6, too.  He's been pushing himself a little to read the various Star Wars children's books from our libraries.  Some are written a little above the Magic Treehouse, and some are considerably more difficult, but his obsession with the subject is fueling his desire to persevere.  I actually think Magic Treehouse achieved the desired effect of providing a bridge from picture books to chapter books.

Time warp trio is slightly more difficult but the same idea. Kids traveling through time. One of my girls liked the Cam Jenson books. Sweet stories about a girl with a photographic memory solving crimes. The My Father's Dragons books are great and maybe just right.

Those Magic School Bus books are a little thicker and seem a bit heartier. I think my son likes MTH so much because he knows what to expect - there's something comforting about reading through a series. I am going to be nudging him soon to expand a little bit, and the MSB books look like they will work as a next step up.
