Kathryn
And do you always get the same kind? Fraser fir here.
Chelle in MO
Ooooohhh...the Fraser is my favorite! (And you spelled it right, to boot!) For the past 8 years or so, we have gotten a free tree from a company who works w/dh's company. I can't remember exactly--it might be a Scotch pine. Always nice-looking, FREE, and very much appreciated, just not my Fraser!
Chris in VA
We usually get Noble or Fraser firs. Douglas fir is too soft for our ornaments, and blue spruce is too expensive and prickly.
linders
Fraser. Always. Nice sturdy branches, lasts forever.

Matryoshka
Another that prefers the Fraser. I think that's what we've gotten for years now.
Loowit
We used to get Douglas firs every year, but the last few years we have gotten Nordman and been very happy with them.
aug17girl
Every year my dh has the exact same exchange at the Christmas tree lot: Dh: "What kind of trees do you have?" Guy at lot:"Blue Spruce and Douglas Fir" Dh: "I'd like s Scotch Pine" Guy at lot: "We've got a couple of those in the back". I hate how the long needles get caught in the vacuum cleaner, but if we got any other kind it would break with tradition.
ThatHomeschoolDad
Douglas or Fraser, depending on the cheaper bin at Home Depot. We did the cut yer own (meaning point to a tree so the high school kid working the plot can saw it as we watch), but have since hit a string of great trees by not trying too hard. GSOchristie
Fraser fir. We got a blue spruce two years ago and looked like we had been in a cat fight after decorating it.

indigomama
We almost always get a Noble.
Mom in High Heels
I'm trying to find a Nordman fir, which is what we always got in Germany, but I can't find them anywhere. Indy is having a really hard time not being in Germany this Christmas (it's a crazy magical place at Christmas), so I'm trying to give him a little bit of it with the tree.
