PeacefulChaos
A website that just lists each candidate for an office (governor, for example) and where they stand on things?Nothing right-leaning or left-leaning. Just the cold, hard facts. So am I dreaming here? Or does anything like this exist?

justasque
Local newspapers often do this kind of thing when an election is coming up. The ones I've seen have had info from the various candidates, usually from some kind of questionnaire. Then, typically, the newspaper does an editorial saying who they think will be best, sometimes with a rebuttal from someone else on the editorial board, or sometimes they endorse neither candidate. So check your local papers. (Obviously, some papers are partisan, but the questionnaire part is usually not overly biased, and the editorials I've seen have been useful.) Little Nyssa
I think the League of Women Voters does this too.

PeacefulChaos
Oh, yeah, for sure. I just wanted to see something that wasn't a mudslinging ad so I could make up my mind for myself - and also not think about a party line, basing my vote solely (for the first time, almost) on where I stand with where they stand. In the end, neither will be perfect, but that's always the case.
songsparrow
Whenever there is a question on the ballot, I always go to the website for our local League of Women Voters, because they provide reasons why you might want to vote for or against each question, without bias either way. I think they also provide info about the candidates, as well.
