TMarie
For various reasons, this is what must happen: 9th - Apologia Physical Science with lab (completed this year) 10th - ???? 11th- Apologia Biology with lab 12th - Apologia Chemisty with lab Can anyone recommend a high school level science that doesn't have a Biology or Chemistry prerequisite? It does not need to have a lab. Thanks so much for any suggestions! :)
regentrude
Physics would be the obvious choice. In fact, physics before chemistry is rather beneficial (as is chemistry *before* bio, btw)
TMarie
Physics would be the obvious choice. Yep, that could work, and it might be the right choice. But truely, my daughter would be miserable. My first choice would be Human Anatomy, but we're stuck because of the Biology requirement.
Kareni
Another possibility might be Geology. Regards, Kareni
klmama
Geology Astronomy Environmental studies Forensic science If your dd hates physics, is there an activity she loves that involves physics? Music or dance? It might be worth studying anyway and including a long unit on how physics affects that activity she enjoys.
HollyDay
how is your math sequence? If you chose a physics early, you might want to consider a conceptual physics. Other ideas: environmental sciences ecology astronomy botany meteorology

donnaj512
We're going to do Oak Meadow Environmental Science, for either 9th or 10th. It's open and go. The syllabus is directed to the student. There's also a teacher's manual to check answers.
