KIN
BBQ meatballs. I was just going to throw some baking potatoes in the oven with the meatballs, but I don't have any baking potatoes. I do have red potatoes, but I can't think of any way to prepare them! Thanks!
Mrs Mungo
What about garlic mashed potatoes? One of my favorites ways to prepare red potatoes is to boil them then top with a little butter and some honey. Yummmm.
Connie1961
I use the small red potatoes. Cut them up in chunks, cover with 1 Tablespoon of olive oil, then coat with the dry mix ranch dressing. Cover and pop in oven till taters are done. My kids love this recipe, but they don't like bottle ranch dressing!! Go figure!!
KIN
Garlic mashed sounds good! Um...how should I make them??? Just like regular, but not peeled and add fresh garlic??? Seriously, I need a recipe or I'm a little dense in the kitchen!
KIN
That sounds really good, but I don't have dry ranch! What else could I use over them??
Spy Car
Ge the oven pre-heating. Cut the red potatoes in quartered wedges. In a bowl drizzle with a little olive oil, maybe add some garlic and hint of rosemary. And salt Put in an oven-proof dish and bake till golden. Yah!!! :drool5: We do something similiar except we don't use a season mix, just make it up ourselves. YUM!
myfunnybunch
That sounds really good, but I don't have dry ranch! What else could I use over them?? Salt & fresh ground pepper. :-) Or garlic roasted red potatoes: http://www.cookingforengineers.com/recipe/34/Garlic-Roasted-Potatoes Cat

Seriously, I need a recipe or I'm a little dense in the kitchen! I just quarter the potatoes and boil until fork tender. Then I drain the potatoes. I melt a little butter in the pot, add chopped fresh garlic and cook on low until you can really start to smell the garlic. Then I add the potatoes back in, pour in a little milk and mash them up. KIN
Thanks everyone!!! Garlic mashed it is for tonight, but I'm saving all of the recipes for another meal. :)
milovany
Another idea is to roast the potatoes and then make roasted potato salad! It's VERY yummy; a big hit around here. You can search for the recipe at cookinglight.com; that's where I got it.
Suzanne in ABQ
This is exactly what I was going to suggest. I've seen these called Poorman Potatoes. Don't know why, though. They're delicious!
sleepy
That's the way I like 'em, too. Only I would use a lot of garlic & rosemary.
